Hi, I've just joined. 😊 Does anyone suffer after eating plain mashed potato? If so, do you know 'why' and what have you found helps you? Many thanks, in advance.x

Yes sometimes i have a problem with baked, mashed or any potatoes. I think too fibrous, and stodgy. Also do you have the potato mashed with milk and butter, because it could be the dairy maybe?

I was going to reply with a similar question to casares8, if you have milk and/or butter in your mash it could be that? That's what would cause me problems with it.

Ah, yes. That could be it - I never thought of that. Thank you 😊. I'll avoid white potatoes from now on. Perhaps I could use sweet potato when I fancy mash and see how I am with that. Thanks, Little_toad.
