Magnesium- Natural Calm, Magnesium tablets?

Hi,

I have IBS-C with some major bloating, some nausea and constipation. I am on Zoloft and recently got off another drug for anxiety which helped me but was too tiring and weird nightmares.

Natural Calm helped a bit but gave me major bloating and too much drops one's pressure a lot and causes too loose bowels.

Any one on any specific forms of Magnesium that help relieve anxiety and help with regularity?

I use either Solgar or Now foods magnesium citrate capsules. I take about 800mg at night before bed on an empty stomach with lots of water. You can also buy magnesium oxide products specifically for constipation. They are more expensive but work the best. They are Oxypowder or Aerobic Mag 07. You can get them on Amazon or a place called the Finchley clinic. You can also call for advice.

Hi there rich, if anxiety is a major problem with you then it may help you to look at a natural alternative i.e. the Thrive Programme. The Programme deals with all sorts of anxieties and you can either find a therapist in your area or buy the book. I have bought the book as there isn't a therapist in my area and I wouldn't be able to afford one anyway. I purchased the book on Amazon UK as I suffer with Emetophobia and I have had enough of the condition and found the condition getting much worse because of my IBS and nausea. I kept dithering on whether to buy it or not; the reviews were amazing but there were just a couple of people that were cynical which made me hesitate whether to buy the book or not. The reason why I purchased the book in the end was someone on here also suffered with the condition and bought the book and hasn't looked back. The Programme works on your mind and I regularly question myself on things and am starting to get better; this I know is going to change my life as I am on chapter 4 and am already starting to see benefits.

I do not work for the company, I just happened to find them online when looking at my condition. I am just another person on here that suffers with IBS and has done since 1996; I was diagnosed in 1997. My IBS started after eating a yogurt that had gone off, something so simple.

Very best of luck.

Hi there, I use Magnesium spray by 'Better You' and it really helps with anxiety and also migraine related issues. I get nausea and bloating too, I'm sure it helps it all! It's brilliant, you just spray 10-20 sprays over your body each day (you build up the amount gradually) and that's it! No side effects as it's a topical spray so you are not ingesting anything. I get mine from Amazon (Holland and Barrett do it too if you are in the UK) I use the original spray daily. Good luck!

Ooh that sounds good Princesspoppy500, I've never heard of Magnesium spray, I will have a look at that one as I also get nausea, which I have at the moment. So glad it works for you.
