Does anyone else get this. Having to run to a toilet with cramps and watery diarrhoea then half way through it turns normal again. Hate this i feel terrible.

No sorry I don't as I tend to suffer with cramping, sometimes nausea and am sometimes constipated. I'm sure that some people on here have had the same as you - hope they reply and are able to comfort you knowing that you aren't the only one and they may have some ideas on how to tackle it. The way I am tackling my IBS is to watch my diet more i.e. I am eating a more of a soluable fibre diet. I had fresh broccoli a couple of weeks ago and I was in agony - I love it but afraid cannot eat it.

IBS is horrible and people that do not have it do not understand. I really hope someone else comes back to you.

Hi my thinking is the watery/loose movement got past the normal which was waiting this can happen if you have been constipated but then have something your body does not agree with it wants to get out quicker? Not sure that makes sense! X

Yes used to suffer frequently two or three types in one sitting. That's why it is so difficult to regulate. You may have IBS-A which is alternating like I have.

You need to be careful with things like Imodium (I never take more than 1/2 tablet at once as it can send me from diarrhoea to really constipated really quickly.

I never react to diarrhoea unless I have for more than a full day and for constipation no meducations just have more fruit or a sweet chilli sauce or a licquorice sweet or tea. Again small doses to start with.

Had stem cell transplant a year ago. I've had every type of issue. Rashes, sore throat, aches and pain experience in lower groin, diarrhoea so bad i had to be admitted to hospital again. Hospital said nil by my mouth for several days. Found out i had a inflamed colon. Was going to the loo 15-20 times a day. Bowel still loose at times. Had marrow bones check done everything ok. Just GVHD said doctors. Folding better now. Take immodium and follow formal.

I hope u get some relief i have been badly constipated and its not nice. What are we all like those of us who have diarrhoea would rather be constipated and thoss who are constipated would rather have diarrhoea. I think the thing i hate most is when i do get a bout of diatrhoea i dont get any warning iv never had an accident but i can see why people do so im terrified to go out even if i feel ok iv became more and more house bound. Iv had a lot of sick time off work and although i work with the most wonderful colleagues they dont really understand and constantly tell me i need to go back to a dr. How do u explain that a dr has said on several occasions theres nothing more to be done. People just dont comprehend this ☹️X

I'm constantly told go see your doctor but hey I try to cope the best I can with what they have given me - I can't take anti diarrhoea tablets as they cripple me with pain in my stomach!! I think my husband thinks I'm nuts when once in a while I'm smiling coz I've had what I think is a normal poo!!
