So had problems for about 8 years now and it was finally getting me down. I've now been diagnosed with ibs and sent on my way. I suffer with going out and doing social things now as I panic if I can't see a toilet. Im trying to find things online that can help me and came across this site. So any advice would be really great. Thank you.
Hi. I'm new to this and I'm not yet diagnosed with IBS but I am starting to show symptoms. I do have emetophobia (fear of vomiting) and I constantly think I feel sick so I can understand the panic you feel when you can't see a toilet. I read somewhere that if your diagnosed with IBS you can get a special key which unlocks most disabled toilet doors and also a card which you can show in shops and they should let you use their own toilet. I'm not sure how you apply for these cards/keys but I'm sure google could help!
Aw really?! Ooo I'll have a look out for them then thank you! That may at least help keep my mind a bit more at ease! I hope they can work out what's wrong with you soon! Must be horrible having a fear of being sick too! Thank you for your advice
You can get these from IBS Network site: theibsnetwork.org and do not need to be a member to do so. It's 5 for the card only or £8.50 for both the "can't wait" card and radar key.
