Hi all I haven't been on here in a while,I've tried most of what's here,so I would like to try another route.
Could anyone recommend a good Fuctional Medicine doctor. But I mean a good one with all there certificates. I don't think there are any locally, but I don't think that matter as I think they Skype now. But I'm in Staffordshire if anyone knows of one in my county.
Thank you and I hope your all coping as that's what it seems we have to do.xx
Just a note - Many do not need to be local - can even be international. Maybe hit up one of these two here in the states for a referral to someone in the UK. But most will do Skype sessions etc.
chriskresser.com - Site also has good info for free - Slowely becoming more commercial as many of the functional med Dr's seem to do.
drruscio.com/ - I am actually a patient of his currently and we are just starting out trying to solve some of my 20+ years of issues.
Also has good free info on his site.

Hi,cricketqueen, just put Function Medicine into Google and it will tell you all you need to know, including certificates.. They look at the whole body, not just one thing.

Sounds a lot like homeopathy

Hi cricketqueen, I would just like to inform you on Functional Medicine, I believe they mix homeopathy if you like with modern medicine. But you see your modern medicine Dr,has to work within the guidelines, where functional medicine can work with both. In other words they join up the dots.
If you seen a Gastrologist for example he would just be concerned in your digestive system,if you had a thyroid problem he wouldn't look at both to see what's causing the problem.
General medicine Dr don't spend so much time with you. I know the difference is money, that's the reason you need a good one,but if it stopped the chronic pain I feel daily,it would be worth it. It's a bit like pot luck, but life's a gamble.
Don't think it's necessarily got anything to do with homeopathy. It's based on science and looks at diet and lifestyle, analysing stool samples etc. GP Dr Chaterjee has been on telly so I think it's getting more popular. I'm currently consulting Alice Sykes by Skype healthsolutionsconsultants....
Yes, she has a clinic in Harley Street. I was so desperate for help along these lines, that I emailed her using the contact request on the website. Initial hour consultation was £180, £150 thereafter pro rata. Lab tests are extra, I've paid £200 for stool tests which have shown I have zero lactobacillus, undigested meat and vegetable fibre, showing I'm lacking an enzyme, and I have a raised level of another unfriendly bacteria. Just about to start suggested diet of no sugar, plus some suggested supplements. My credit card has had a bashing but I'm desperate to sort it out, so we'll see. Watch this space!
