Hi, does anybody have a half decent clear soup recipe that they would like to share? Or know where I can buy it in a tin? Thanks.
Colonoscopy prep: Hi, does anybody have a half... - IBS Network
Colonoscopy prep
Are Campbell's soups available to you? I find that their chicken broth or beef broth are just fine...or their consommé'.... Any grocery store should carry those kinds of soup. Good luck with the colonoscopy!
If you have time you could make yourself some bone broth. It's easy enough once you get used to it. Use a stockpot or large saucepan or a slow cooker.
I have used the bones from an organic roast chicken and added some Marrowbones (I bought them in waitrose, 99p each.) I've also used organic chicken wings which I just cooked up with the Marrowbones. Use organic, then you avoid all the GMO feed, antibiotics etc.
Bring your bones to a boil, then simmer for several hours, as long as you can really.
It does look pretty horrible but at the end just strain through a sieve into a large bowl, it will cool to form a jelly, which you can reheat. Very nutritious.
I do this regularly, its well known to be good for you.
I suggest looking on YouTube , plenty on there on how to do it.
I hope your colonoscopy goes smoothly.
I was just told to eat lightly - cornflakes, grilled or poached chicken or fish, mashed potatoes and white bread forvabout 3 /4 days before a colonoscopy and Movicol the day before
it is vile, when i had mine I drank an oxo cube as soup it was lovely good luck
Pat thats what i did and it tasted fine , and to be honest i didnt feel hungry the prep stuff was so vile lol !! the oxo tasted good though
