You are most welcome here
In this forum, you will see many people would have somewhat similar symptoms as yours, which is quite common for IBS. I guess you should first have some tests done, like ultrasound scan, sigmoidoscopy, gastroscopy, etc. Talk to Dr. first, he will suggest which test is relevant according to your symptoms. It will be difficult to judge whether its appendix, IBS or anything else without proper tests.
I have this type of pain in left-abdomen since last 2 years. I had ultrasound scan, sigmoidoscopy, then Dr. suggested its IBS. You can read my story: healthunlocked.com/theibsne... You may find some answers.
Hope this helps
Thank you for your reply jenishpatel87.i have had 2 ultrasound tests as well as urine and blood tests the last 2 months. This ibs is new to me and I have no clue what to expect. Are these random pains normal. ?
This random pain is normal in some cases. As Rosie suggested , get the Colonoscopy test done first. In the meanwhile, try some peppermint oil capsules and/or some probiotics if you are having pain in intestines. Talk to your Dr. before taking either. Identify if the pain is due to constipation and/or diarrhea, then it will be easy to treat the symptoms.
These types of odd pains seem to be pretty common amongst IBS-ers and are most likely due to wind. You should get a colonoscopy done at least so you get a proper diagnosis.

Thank you rosie218.
Hi Para1 welcome, I agree with Rosie, we all get similar pains, and because your new to IBS you will notice odd things here and there, but everyone on here is so helpfull, you will always get a reply or suggestion from someone.

Oh no I know how you feel! I've had 4 panic attacks through thinking it's my appendix it's such a horrible feeling isn't it! When I feel like I'm thinking that way and I'm at home having a nice hot bubble bath to relax can be helpful. I also take tablets called Colofac which seem to help. I hope you feel better soon as I know when you think it's something else it's a horrible feeling x
