Does anyone else have severe stomach cramps, soreness and anal throbbing after a bowel movement? A lot of the time I have to lay down in bed after and end up falling asleep. I have no energy most of the day.
This could be down to stress, depression and inactivity due to constant tiredness as well but just wanted to ask.

Yes, everyday is a struggle to get through. If I Hoover I feel I have accomplished a major task. The time I spend in the toilet each morning, and the pain which follows is soooo exhausting...but so hard for other to understand. Take care x
Try removing Lactose, Gluten and meat from your diet, It has helped me no end, I can go for miles on my bike these days, though I was 'out of action' for a week, last week due to having an aspirin, containing lactose, but I am back to 'normal' today! Even I really find it so difficult to understand how so little lactose can cause so much suffering. No wonder many people say that it is all in your head!
Yes definately have the stomach cramps and soreness, not been a good
weekend for me either. Ended up taking a sennacot tablet last night
because of C, nothing else seemed to work. Just beginning to feel like
me again. Happy days.
Hi nature girl,I have chronic IBS,so Heishy yes I do understand.
Nature girl have you had your Thyroid tested, because that can cause you to be tired and a lack of energy.
Apart from that I have no solutions,as I've tried the solutions that been given to you like diet, they don't work for me ,but maybe worth a try for you.
Hi Naturegirl,Sorry it took so long to get back to you,but just a suggestion. Has your GP not only tested you for TSH,but for T4- T3- Iron- Folate- Ferritin-B12- VitD- if not I would ask him to test you.
I'm just going by you being so tired and tummy problems.
In the UK they only test for TSH which isn't really enough,I'm saying this out of experiences like yours. If you ask firmly you may get them done. It proved a big help to me ,when I was advised the same thing.
Stopping eating all grains (ALL!) is helping me and so is taking Iron=Tek L-Glutamine powder... You can Google info about IBS and L Glutamine and learn how it can help you. You might have to play around with the amt you take (get the powder NOT the capsules...they are useless) I hope it helps you.
I think much of the tiredness comes from the anxiety that accompanies ibs... you just get so WEARY or worrying 'how am I going to feel'...how bad will it be, etc... that it just wears you out...SO.. I try to always say This, too, shall pass...and there ARE good days, too! Sending you all kinds of good wishes.
