Hey just been told maybe have ibs

Right been to docs as this last week it's literally felt as if someone's been squeezing my left hand side went to docs he had a good feel around and when he felt like middle of my belly and left hand side it felt tender he seems to hunk I have ibs also bowel habits been twice this morning that's loose and still feel the need to go, and pains in my back too anyone else have these symptoms ?

You really need to have all the tests available to eliminate other bowel problems such as diverticulitis, Crohn's etc

If you do try elimination only try one food group at a time and keep a diary of food eaten when and your bowel movements for that day

I agree with the other comments here; whilst your symptoms do resemble those of IBS, you really do need to ensure that other possible causes are eliminated before a formal diagnosis is made. Speak to your GP and ask for tests such as colonoscopy, blood tests for lactose intolerance and coeliac disease. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
