A very interesting article today (29th Oct) in Daily Mail about taking high dose Vit D to relieve IBS symptoms. Anyone have any more info on this please?

Sounds really interesting. I don't think they will be short of volenteers. Will wait to hear the results.

Hi, I read the article this morning, would be worth you contacting the IBS UK charity to see if they have any views or additional info.

I read the article and funnily enough I had just started an 8 week course of probiotics and vitamins recommended by a nutrionist and reading up on the various things I am taking this programme includes 4 drops of something called bio D mulsion Forte that equates to 6000 units of vitamin D 3 daily . So I wIl contact the nutrionist and ask if this is connected to what the mail article is saying . I've only taken 2 days worth so far so cannot make any comments yet but will keep you posted .

This is very interesting. My dr thought I had something wrong with my thyroid because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. He sent me to a specialist who ran some exotic blood tests on me. One of the results was extremely low vitamin D. Almost none. Along with the IBS I was incredibly tired all the time. One mega dose of D and I went from feeling like I was going to die to wanting to clean my entire house. BTW GMOs stop the body's production of vitamin D.

Genetic modified organisms.. Wheat has been modified to include pesticides within the plant. You are eating poison.

Sorry I can't find the story in Mail Online but if you follow the link above on Sheffield University and Vicky it has all the same information. Let's hope this is something of a breakthrough.
