What food and fruits are advisable to be taken?

It's a case of 'trial and error'-you have to try various veg/fruit and write down what effect they have on you-That is what my GP always tells me! Not too much of either veg or fruit.

Thanks Ratton. Since I already lost so much weight, I have been very careful on my diet. Your concern will be of great help.

I read the FODMAPS site and agree with Ratton. Not every food group applies to me. And I can eat some in my group in tiny quantities and combined with other foods. In other words, I'm better off eating whole foods that I prepare myself. Not always easy as I also have PD.

As Ratton says, it's trial and error. I'm fine with oranges but have to peel apples and pears as the skins are tough and set it off. Pork is dense and the least digestable meat and sets it off. Stew is great as it is soft and chicken and fish are fine. Chew well and eliminate bad food using a food diary. Then your body can heal.

thank u so much matusadona. I am really feeling depressed for those foods/fruits allowed and not. I already lost too much weight. I thought I will be okay after I had surgery about 4 years ago, now im almost believing that surgery was a mistake. My liquid bowel kept attacking due to foods/fruits/soda which I didnt know were not allowed for me anymore. And my abnormal bowel was my complaint before my surgery, yet still IBS is happening to me everytime I eat the wrong foods. I gratefully thank this community where I am more learning with positive results. I am a single-parent of a 12 y/o son, I wish to live longer than how my condition is revealing at this time. thank u for the advice.

Http, I have also lost alot of weight and have noticed since being on fodmaps that I loose weight when I eat the Galatan foods. Start the diet and you will begin to notice what your body cannot handle and then allow yourself to heal.

You have to look at everything that you are eating, drinking, swallowing..even vitamins and the ingrediants.

Drink warm water a peppermint tea ONLY. No decaf drinks!

Don't eat fruits with stones,, sounds odd,, I only do bananas now,, grapes r ok ,, after 2 years of pain I now do lactose freei milk,,aim to eat anything full fat and don't do soft cheese

A true answer in my case was internal stress, I was in denial at first,, now I'm sleeping like a log,,
