Having a huge cysts on both ovaries 1 was 20cm and the other around 8 cm it was decided it was best to get rid of both my ovaries too as this was the 3rd time i had surgery for endometriosis. My consultant has said i shroud wait a month before i go on HRT, due to blood clotting just after surgery.
I wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and how was they coping with surgical menopause ?

I had this done about 4 weeks ago now. I was advised to start hrt at day 10 but due to communication started day 17.
I have found the menopause symptoms horrendous. I am on oestrogen only hrt - which I know is completely wrong. But I'm trying to see someone who knows about endo at the moment. The headaches are debilitating and the brain fog are awful. I'm hoping they will start to lift soon.
When I was just out of surgery I was really scared and felt at a loss of what to do with so much conflicting advice and I havent had the best time with the NHS.
Most important thing is to look after you right now. And try not to worry about things to much - I know this is easier said than done!

Headaches began on and off about 5 days post op but have now been constant. Mild to moderate pain even when taking migraine and pain medications. Both ovaries removed, recommended that I not start any hormones due to severe endometriosis. Any ideas? Have you experienced headaches that go on for days and days?

I am so confused with HRT. I was advised to take HRT on day ten post surgery by my surgeon. I am on estrogen now and I think that's starting to kick in as the headaches have eased slowly. Not 100% though.
I feel the Menopause is an extension of endometriosis at the moment and trying to advice is so hard.
