Just got back from my first gynaecologist appointment and walked away smiling …after being listened to ,appointments are now being mad to finally have a mri and laparoscopy and been put on hormone treatment…. goserelin injection and Tibolne! Has any one else had this medication if so any comments about it what I can expect?

To be honest I’m quite over whelmed about my appointment today as I really wasn’t expecting them to do anything as such and was expecting them to ‘fob’ me off x

Hey Pinklady83 I'm so pleased to hear you had a positive experience. I noticed you posted a little over three weeks ago. How are you finding the injections? They can cause some menopausal side effects which I believe the Tibolone add back therapy can help with. Are you managing well? It's usually around week 3 you can start noticing a difference. Do let us know how things are going. Sending love x

Thanks for your reply CarlaCressy onlyJust seen it hun sorry

Things haven’t been too bad thank you, few sweats at night but I had started getting them a couple months back for some reason or other ( before I started any treatments) and yes I’m taking Tibolone pills as well!

The hospital called me last Wednesday and I already have my laparoscopy date… this bloody Thursday… shitting myself a bit if I’m honest but kind of don’t know why?! 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Just not mentally prepared!

I was expecting such a long wait when my gynaecologist referee me 6 weeks ago! So shocked and mentally not prepared x

Yes all went ahead lovely… I was so scared but all went ok! I’m in bloody agony with the trapped air but it is easy a little finally! Wasn’t actually told much about endometriosis I don’t think… I was still out of it in recovery when surgeon came to see me!

He did say even before going in that just from the 4 c-sections alone I’ve had that he thinks things will be bad inside and more then likely need a full hysterectomy!

And that’s exactly what he said after surgery as well… he said he could have been there hours if he had started to pick it all apart but then said could be more risks that way! So back to gynaecologist to discharge full hysterectomy x

It sounds like quite the ordeal I’m not suprised you were feeling nervous. How are you managing now? Are you home and resting? It sounds funny but I find shrugging my shoulders up and down helps release the gas. That pain is just horrible. Do you have your follow up appointment date? It drives me crazy when they come around to explain, I can never remember anything - I can barely focus my eyes on them whilst they’re speaking never mind remember what they’re telling me lol. Let me know how it goes won’t you. I hope you’re managing to get as much rest as possible. Xx
