We’re passionate about ensuring everyone affected by a brain tumour has access to the best treatment and care. But first we need to understand how people’s experiences differ across the UK.
Help improve treatment and care in the UK by sharing your experiences of Radiotherapy and/or Chemotherapy in our Improving Brain Tumour Care Surveys. By taking part you’ll help build a clearer picture of what’s working and what needs to be improved.
You can complete this yourself or on behalf of a loved one and it only takes 10 minutes! If you have previously completed the surveys but your experience has changed, you can complete them again.
I had 6 weeks of Radiotherapy treatment back in 1998 in Royal United Hospital, Bath. Had to wait 3 months for the MRI scan only to be told it had not touched it.
My oncologist then advised me that I had to start Chemotherapy, I really struggled with these and found could not use the arm the Chemo was put into.
After several different Chemotherapies and no reduction in my Tumour my Oncologist contacted a Colleague at the Royal Marsden to see if there were any trials . He then came back and advised to put my on Temozalamide for 26 days each month for 6 months. This was very tough but got me into remission.
Unfortunately I was diagnosed with Late Radiotherapy Damage which was causing Strokes and after catching COVID-19 in March 2020 a d subsequent scan at King's College in London I was diagnosed with Left Frontal Lobe Damage which is affecting my concentration, mood ability to work and drive.
