Tick bite rash advice please

Hi everyone I think I have a tick bite I also found one crawling on my dog after a walk

Please see pic attached

It’s been ten hours since walk and bite and I have a circle around the bite

Any advice greatly appreciated

That doesn’t look like a bullseye rash, so you should be fine.

If I were you, I'd check with a doctor FAST.

Only a small percentage of ticks in the UK are infected with Lyme disease, and the risk is low of it being transmitted. Especially if the tick has not embedded itself to feed or, if it had, wasn’t feeding for long. In general treatment is not given prophylactically unless there is a tick, symptoms, or a much better developed rash.

Of course if the rash develops over the days following a bite it is worth getting it looked at. But few GPs will have any idea so if really worried best to go to a specialised centre.
