Patient advisors wanted for latent TB research

We are inviting people affected by latent TB to join a workshop as part of a research project about the condition. The research, run by University College London (UCL), seeks to understand how best to treat latent TB and support patients during their treatment.

Part of this work will involve developing resources which give patients better information and support with the aim of increasing the number of patients who successfully complete their treatment. Workshop participants will help shape the way this research is delivered, by sharing their views on the research materials and questions and also offering insights into their own experiences.

The workshop is planned to be held over two hours in central London during the week of 16 December, either in an afternoon or early evening. This particular opportunity is more relevant to people diagnosed with latent TB, rather than active TB, but we are always looking for patient advocates for a range of opportunities.
