Infection still
Hi This is my first ever post, and was just wondering if anyone else had symptoms like myself, regarding my recent infection. I always have Symbicort 400/12 two puffs twice a day, and use the Smart approach, although being on this treatment, i never ever feel 100% but much better than in the past.

Gurgling chest?
Hi I have recently had flu, about 3 weeks ago, and seem to have been left with a gurgling feeling in my lungs when i breathe in. Its not painful although when i am in bed and lying flat i can feel the build up of mucus, which is uncomfortable and i feel the need to cough. I have a cough, not painful

Re Symbicort 200/6
Hi all Just wondering, i've recently had my symbicort inhaler reduced fromm 400/12 2 puffs twice daily, to symbicort 200/6, 2 puffs twice daily. My peak flow was 357 when i went for my asthma review, even though it was lower, they still reduced my symbicort ? The reason they reduced it is they are concerned

Exercise and Asthma
I thought I would share with you all a positive experience, in case it helps anyone else with Asthma. I'm an allergic asthmatic, and I take the brown, green and blue inhalers. One of the things recommended to me by my GP was exercise to help improve my lung function. Which isn't terribly bad but could

? not asthma diagnosis or maybe atypical *rant alert*
Aargh, saw resp. consultant finally for the first time. Conclusion was on a lot of meds (never) but with no allergies on IgE blood test/spirometry good/no A&E etc either atypical asthma or something else ? dysfunctional breathing. Anyway, have to keep another peak flow and go for bronchial provocation

Peak Flow & Asthma Attacks
Hi, Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to be having an asthma attack whilst still having a good peak flow reading? strange breathing - a bit confused
I understand that I've said on previous posts I don't wheeze - but I'm in a bit of a strange situation here. occasionally, out of the blue, when I breathe in my chest feels like its vibrating and it sounds wheezy. it doesn't last long but when its does its a weird feeling. usually after the weird 'wheezing

Lansoprozole / review
Since I started taking this I'm constantly hungry. Has anyone else experienced this? I mentioned it in my asthma review yesterday and the nurse didn't think it was a side effect. Also because I wasn't wheezing (after sitting quietly in a warm waiting room) and my peak flow was OK (it was 12:00 - it's

How to tell severity without peak flow?
HI everyone, I'm new on here and still not 100% sure if I even have asthma; I'm waiting for an appt with consultant (which it's taken them nearly three weeks and many nagging phone calls from me just to try and book, still don't know when it will be but apparently could be 2-3 months - arrghh!) My

Am i doing it right?
Have just been given a peak flow meter by doc but am not sure if I'm doing it right? At the end of my exhale, my chest 'barks', should I disregard the reading? I find it hard to do without this happenning and end up with a much lower reading.

Peak Flow Chart
On Seretide 250, two puffs, twice daily. I got bored filling in my Peak Flow chart and even more bored of blowing into the meter, a good few months back. My peak flow is 290 - 310, maybe 220 - 350 once or twice. With a mostly unfilled-in peak flow chart, will I get my knuckles rapped when next see

Grumps
Peak flow not really any better since first diagnosed. I'm worried the asthma nurse will think I'm not really trying with the peak flow meter readings. What would be next on the cards if its still hovering around the 280 - 310 mark. I'm on Symbicort 200/6 at the moment. I really only take the reliever

Hi everyone I went to my GP today for the results of my allergy blood test - I've posted on here before about what happened, but basically had to cut short a holiday to Ireland to due an asthma attack, however peak flow was good throughout and felt much better when I arrived home, making me think it

Has been a rough week
Well, since Friday night things have not been good. I saw the duty GP on Monday and he put me on the nebuliser for a while and that was really helpful. I've been taking the pred and the antibiotics, and my inhalers. But I'm still struggling with my breathing. I still need my Ventolin between 3
