Have just been given a peak flow meter by doc but am not sure if I'm doing it right?
At the end of my exhale, my chest 'barks', should I disregard the reading? I find it hard to do without this happenning and end up with a much lower reading.

hi,it happens to me sometimes,try not get to stressed out with one,when you feel relaxed and had a drink etc,give it another go when you feel readyand you should be fine.breath out ,then in ,then a quick sharp blast.good luck love Glynis xxx

If you are still having problems,ask practice nurse how to use it they can be very helpful.
