Low days
Feeling completely fed up at the moment, recently started on
xolair
and waiting for it to kick in but I’m just so impatient and fed up, asthma has compleatly taken over my life and I just want it back!

Omalizumab / Xolair
I’m waiting to hear if my asthma profile is a good match for Omalizumab then (if offered it) I’ll need to decide whether or not to take up the invitation. Wondering about two things: 1. Side-effects 2. Health Impact if I later need to come-off it (i.e. can you end up with worse asthma than before you

Just joined the group. Asthma treatment: one size fits most?
Now I have read about the new biologics (
Xolair
, Nucala) that treat, with dramatic results, eosinophilic asthma. The trouble is, they cost $2,500 to $3,000 per month for life! What I fail to understand from the literature is whether asthma is an either/or?

New asthma doctor, severe persistent asthma, biologicals- blood test may not match
Does anyone have experience with
Xolair
? If you take
Xolair
can you stop taking some of your other asthma meds? Next- does singulair bother anyone? I’m feeling anxious, kinda OCD in fact, tired and have had a headache the last couple days since I started it.

Xolair, Dupixent, Nucala or Fasenra?
I have read some posts that
Xolair
and Nucala did nothing while others saw great improvements. Please share your experience with these drugs good and bad. Like many of you I am sensitive to many medications and definitely don't want full body hives! Thank you!!!

Hi is there anyone on
Xolair

Xolair Update
Well yesterday I had my 6th shot of
Xolair
. Got to be honest, it’s no fun every month travelling an hour each way, then having an injection in each limb. BUT my goodness, I honestly (touches lots of wood) think it’s working!!!

The same company are looking for anyone on
Xolair
or Mepolizumab except you won’t have to travel to London , it will be about 60 telephone call . It’s all in the aid of rewatch an to make things better for the future. I found quite therapeutic and made me think my treatment.

Son with severe asthma
His respiratory consultant has mentioned putting him on
xolair
next year just prior to the grass pollen season taking hold. His last total Ige was 2224. Has anyone else got a younger child on
xolair
? It would be good to hear from others in a similar situation.

So many bugs!
Just so frustrating as I just restarted my course a few days ago and have my
xolair
review on Monday 😫 desperate not to end up in before then as it has made a massive difference overall and a 4th admission during the trial will make it seem less helpful!

Xolair/Theophylline
He's mentioned also he'd like to begin
Xolair
treatment once I've had the blood test done for Theophylline. Has anyone else been on
Xolair
and can share some experiences of it? Has it been beneficial in gaining control of your asthma? Also are they painful?

The steady drift down...
Really annoying because apart from a random allergy and a bug a couple of weeks ago I’ve had really low level symptoms in between so the
xolair
seems to be helping. Time to whack up the pred (a whole extra 5mg 😂) and the ventolin to hopefully stay home but I’m not convinced it’ll last!

First mepo tomorrow - hopefully this’ll stop me wheezing!
It’s been worse since I had to stop
xolair
due to allergic reaction. So not only am I tired from my symptoms, but I’m tired from waking up all the time and from the drugs I’m on. I’m constantly borderline, living in my yellow zone, bouncing in and out of red constantly, and very rarely in green.
