I would suggest it depends what is causing your IgE to be so high. If you had the test done privately was there not a follow up with a health professional to discuss the result?
I have multiple allergies and it took time to identify them. Over the years I have used a combination of NHS and private doctors to help identify and manage them.
My first allergy was an obvious severe reaction to penicillin. Food allergies were discovered by skin prick test and a food diary with elimination diet. I had the RAST blood test done which also helped to identify what I was reacting to the test was done by a private doctor with analysis by Professor J. Brostoff. He is (was?) a leading consultant in allergies and has co-written a book called "The Allergy Bible" which I found enormously helpful. Mould allergies can be a problem as they are difficult to avoid. Hope you find the help you need.
ps High IgE can also be caused by some immune disorders which is way of out my league of experience! The British Society for Immunology has a list of Consultants who specialise in Allergy and Immunology. Perhaps you can find your nearest and see if your GP will refer you?
