Severe Asthma and Pregnancy
There have been no trials in the drug
xolair
in pregnancy and that is why it’s a difficult thing to decide. I have tried googling to see but I can’t find much in the UK. I know it is a long shot but has anyone else had
xolair
injections while pregnant or stopped them ect?

Swollen throat
I suffer with Severe Allergic Asthma which is getting worse- currently awaiting my first dose
Xolair
(still). I’ve been experiencing an unusual flare during the last month but this one has felt slightly different. My worst symptom is breathlessness and I never wheeze.

Hospital appointment
I’ve had an appointment letter from my consultant at the hospital for a week on Friday- he is going to the board the end of February to try and get funding for
Xolair
injections- am now worried what the appointment may be about? Has anyone got any ideas or been through this before😊😊 Thank you!

Xolair Approved!
After 2 long years of persistence and patience, along with many, many attacks, today I was finally told that I have now been granted approval to start
Xolair
! I was super nervous going into my appointment today after “failing” my methacholine challenge test last week.

Triggered by smells/fumes
I’m due to start
Xolair
any day now which I’m hoping will put an end to all of this but I don’t know whether I should be concerned that attacks are coming on so rapidly and to “new” triggers? My asthma is usually so predictable.

Could the rash improve over time - might my body get used to the
Xolair

Introduction
Respirologist is great and is referring me to the transplant team at Toronto General Hospital, he also thinks I have a significant element of Asthma due to some of my blood tests and the fact I'm no longer responding well to inhaled corticosteroids, so am being studied to go on a Bi-weekly injection of

How long did xolair take to work for you?
Just wanted to do a quick poll for those of you on
xolair
(omalizumab)—how long did it take to kick in and start controlling your symptoms? I’m getting my sixth shot in a week but am still struggling. Thanks!!
