going back to propranolol after diltiazem
hi there i Hope it’s ok to post here because ive also posted in the AF forum but I could really use some advice asap. I was on 80mg slow release propranolol for a few years and recently my PVCs have become very very frequent. Had all test and cardiologist said benign PVCs and I could try diltiazem

CCB to Beta Blocker
Hi there wonder If anyone can help me? I posted the other day about swapping from Propranolol to Diltiazem to try to stop my PVCs. I have been prescribed 60mg modified release AM and PM so 120mg per day. I took my tablet this morning and felt ok but slowly started to feel really anxious throughout

1st question re cardioversion
Hello everyone - I'm 68 and have had AF for about 2 years. Apart from a brief conversation re cardioversion and ablation when I was 1st diagnosed, none of the cardiologists I have seen have suggested that I should have cardioversion. I am currently taking 10mg of Bisoprolol a day in two 5mg tablets,

PVCs Way Worse
Hi! Endurance sport and Afib
Hi All, I am new to the group. Some very good posts with lots of living experiences with AFib. I was diagnosed with AFib approximately 3 years ago but suspect I had it a lot longer not knowing the symptoms putting it down to fatigue. It was an Apple Watch that alerted me to AFib and after a hospital

Waiting for ablation
I started in Afib June 2022 after covid, was diagnosed in August and put on Edoxaban and bisoprolol by my GP. In October I was seen by a specialist and put on Amiodarone (I've mentioned the side effects before.. thanks for the responses) and put on the waiting list for a cardioversion. That was done

Afib questions
Hello I was diagnosed with Afib recently. I am taking Sotalol 80mg twice day and Eliquis 5 mg daily. Monday my heart rate went up to 150 or above and after abt 30 min I called 911. By the time they came the rate was coming down but did spike several times to 120. After reading info on your forum I

propranolol to diltiazem?
Hi there I hope it’s ok for me to post here, I don’t have AF but have been having lots of palpitations and PVCs for a few years. I’ve been on Propranolol 80mg slow release for a couple of years and that’s been ok. However recently my ectopics have intensified and dr switched me to 40mg propranolol 3

Afib caused by low heart rate? Ectopics when exercising.
Good morning all,I've had some rather interesting observations over the last few weeks that I would like to share. As background, I had an ablation in July which helped me reduce my Flecainide dose from 2x100 to 2x50mg per day and reduced my Afib episodes to about once per week. My resting heart rate

Cough lozenges
I’ve got a tickly cough and want to suck a lozenge in the hope it will sooth it. I’ve got some Wilko lozenges that are Amylmetacresol. Does anyone know if they are ok to use with Warfarin and Bisoprolol - and of course Afib ! I can’t find this ingredient listed in drug interaction websites so I’m guessing

What would you do in my shoes?
For those who haven't read my profile, back history, 56 year old otherwise healthy female living in Houston, diagnosed with Afib with RVR after throwing up after migraine, have had lots of mini events since (apparently) but not full blown afib. My atria are definitely very kindled now to arrhythmias

Is this A Fib
Hi all, I was diagnosed with PAF in October, I met with a group of friends yesterday and spent a couple of hours chatting, feeling absolutely fine, but when I looked at my FitBit later it recorded my heart rate at between 95 and 120 for 50 minutes. It doesn’t even do this when I’m out walking. The only

Ablation - worries
Hi everyone. I am on the waiting list at Glenfield Hospital in the UK for an ablation I have paroxysmal AF diagnosed in 2020 and I take Sotalol 40mg x 3 a day and Apixaban 5mg x 2 a day. My episodes have been infrequent around every 4 months but more recently every 2 months, having said that the last

Decision making
I am having a hard time justifying doing anything about my Afib since I feel really good most of the time. Even in Afib I'm pretty good except for the worrying and checking of my heart rate every little bit. I have recently backed out of an RF ablation and a Cryo ablation for fear of a poor outcome

Is this a genuine VT on my Wellue, or not? Thanks
I’ve just started using a Wellue, and it’s brilliant to be able to take a continuous 1 lead ecg (other than downloading and charging time) and the information it gives, with AI analysis. I’ve got a question from those who can read ecgs - my AI analysis says I had some PVCs and then a Ventricular Tachycardia

I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal after a year of episodes getting longer and longer . I had a cardio version Sept then a very mild Afib that was controlled with Metoprolol in November. I am overdue now according to my tracking since last Nov (every 4-10 weeks) and I finally got my date for ablation
