Oxygen sats
I have asthma and am struggling with strenuous exercise despite using
ventolin
before exercise, warming up slowly, and exercising inside. I'm not even working out at full capacity. I start ok then my chest tightens, I can't get enough air in our out, I cough and I have to stop.

I feel lost and so alone
The specialist says I shouldn’t have pain that’s bad only mild but my gp dissagrees that’s why he put me on the thing I’m on also my
ventolin
inhaler doesn’t seem to help the way it did so I take it every 2 hr 4 puffs .

Breathing problems "in my head" - any advice?
Still using all my regular meds, still needing
Ventolin
daily. PF's barely drop (380 if I wake with shortness of breath in middle of night, 420 during day if short of breath. but if I feel well I hit 480-500). Today I've used
Ventolin
30+ times, been using it 10+ times daily over last week.

New to Fostair ...
Fortunately, the
Ventolin
inhaler will still be prescribed, otherwise this wouldn't be happening.

What to do next
She prescribed
ventolin
, no effect. Then we tried medication for acid reflux and post nasel drip, no effect. My GP this week said that's it nothing else that can be done or prescribed. I still have the chronic cough and feel let down as the cough is a symptom of something.

Check your inhaler if using Seretide disk 250 or Ventolin Disk.

Thank you :) (For everyone who helped on my most recent post)
Was slightly short of breath in with her but once she ruled out wheezing and infection was happy I didn't need anything other than to just keep taking
Ventolin
as I have been.

Finally Managed to see the GP
He can't see why the
ventolin
isn't helping with breathlessness, so prescribed me another, but changed my steroid inhaler to Spiriva. No referral to respiratory nurse, he says its too early for that, normally refers when more serious and not Mild as mine is.

Hi Im new to this site. Seeking advise re asthma & anxiety
The only time I needed
ventolin
was if I had a chest infection. In August I burnt myself out overdoing things and crashed. Numerous blood tests came back normal. My asthma symptoms slowly got worse and I started on 2 preventors. I tried to keep up with my normal commitments but it was a struggle.

Disturbed night
I used my
ventolin
inhaler every hour which only helped a little. I thought being on spiriva would have helped now. I am very fed up and havent felt good since an exacerbation in late december into january. I want to get on with daily things but find it very difficult at the mo.

Wondering what age people on here were when they were diagnosed with Asthma? Also, did anyone develop Asthma as a direct result from smoking
I’ve been prescribed the steroid and
ventolin
inhalers. Waiting for further tests to confirm I have Ashtma. I’m just surprised, I thought you developed Asthma in childhood? Thanks all for reading and commenting! :-)

A & E Care Admission or not admission?
First one after I resolved myself with
Ventolin
then went to A & E to be checked out. (I was on prednisolone but still had an asthma attack) Bloods taken, ECg sats done.

Pre-empt a chest infection?
I have started taking 2 puffs of
ventolin
every 4 hours in the hope it will not only help peak flow, but open my airways to try and cough up the bugs. Any other suggestions?

Does anyone else not use their actual best Peak Flow?
So, at my new surgery I stopped avoiding reviews and my PEF was 420, though I'd taken near maximum
ventolin
. Anyway, a few weeks later I scored 440 but none of my other scores were that high, so instead it was based off the other higher score I'd got - 430.
