Inhalers and Atrial Fibrillation
I have been given an Aero Chamber and Salbutamol ventolin evohaler. My GP suspected asthma although I havent officially been diagnosed with it. Apparently because of the Covid they are not doing lung function tests. I suffer with Atrial Fibrillation for which I take Flecainide. After reading about the

Oxygen Levels
I am not sure this is the right place to post but I am worried and frightened. I have an anxiety disorder and I’m 35 years old. I started 10 days ago with Covid symptoms after daughter and husband tested positive. I am now on an inhaler as I keep getting shortness of breath on movement. I have

Links between asthma meds and purpura
Does anyone know if there is a proven link between asthma inhalers and skin thinning/purpura/skin fragility/bruises, especially on forearms and lower legs?

I've been on Trimbo inhaler for 2 years, the first 18 months I found it better than my old one, but these last 2 months I don't feel any benefit from it. Do you think your body needs a change after a while, I'm more breathless than usual & think it's worth trying a different one. Has anyone found

Breathless
Hi everyone, I hope that you are all keeping safe and coping as well as you can with this dreadful pandemic and chronic ill health? I have a question that may be silly but here goes. Before I became chronically unwell I had brittle asthma. Despite being on three different inhalers Bricanyl, Pulmicourt

Just learning ..
Hi another question from me as I’m new to this, hope everyone is well. I’m not seeing the GP til the 26th so just thought I’d ask some more advice. My Gp has given me a peak flow meter, prednisolone for 7 days and a ventolin inhaler. I predominately spoke about shortness of breath in the first appointment

With the best will in the world I ran today. - fully intending to run 10k for my 75th anniversary of VE Day medal but it was not to be. When I ran on Tuesday it was 13 degrees and I ran in a short sleeve top and capris - today it was leggings and a long sleeve top and when I got home Garmin told me it

Hi I am trying to find a spacer for Qvar inhaler ( with a round nozzle), Google suggested Aerochamber plus but it seems to have an oval nozzle. Anybody using it with a spacer? Thanks

Fostair Palpitations
Hi all, I've just been switched from Sirdupla to Forstair, to try and get my asthma under control (ongoing issues for over 4 months). I took my first dose around 11pm and immediately afterwards I felt heart palpitations, and a strange sensation that I'm struggling to describe. Maybe...wired? Jittery

Is anyone else on 2 puffs of duo resp twice a day?
I was diagnosed ŵith asthma about 18 years ago after a bout of wheezy bronchitis. I was left with a cough. I was given various treatment and am now on duo resp. steroid inhaler. I always feel like I’ve been misdiagnosed though, because whenever I need to see a doctor when I feel breathless, my peak

Are oral steroids a good substitute for preventer inhalers ?
After getting asthma two years ago,I tried some preventer inhalers. However, some worsened my breathing problems, while others used to totally block my nose. That made it impossible to breathe through the nose,or to sleep. Finally,I started using oral steroids.Been taking 40 mgs. for several months now,and

How to drive and go out when inhalers don't help ?
My asthma attacks cannot be controlled by inhalers,I must use a nebuliser. However, that makes it very hard for me to drive and go out.In my city,I haven't found any portable nebulisers which can be used in the car. Those are much smaller than regular nebulisers anyway. Anybody else in a situation where

Beclometasone (powder)
Hi! My GP has asked if I'd be willing to switch to the powder form of beclometasone. I agreed, however when I inhale , I don't have the sensation that the powder is coming out of the inhaler at all! Is this normal? (I have clicked to release the powder before inhaling). Thanks 😊

Going back to my childhood... (Nightmares)
Hi all, I've been on Fostair 200/6 for 5-6 weeks now, I was on the lower dose of Fostair before. Has anyone had vivid nightmares on their steroid inhalers? Forgive me for the long story.. Let's turn back time. I was around 7/8 when I saw the film 'The Witches' at primary school. There is a prominent
