After Regeneron Drop In Neutrophils? Did I make a mistake?
Update. Husband had 5 months of Gazyva/Venclexta. Had gotten up to 400 mg. of Venclexta when neutrophils started dropping too low. Twice had to hold and get GSF. First time resumed Venclexta at 200 mg. Had to stop again and get injections again but then resumed at 100 mg. at my request, but neutrophils

Venclexta interacts with many meds, including OTC ones and those for AIHA
I am doing some research on medication interactions with Venclexta, and I noticed that it seems to interact with a lot of common medications, including acetaminophen, ibuprofen, common stomach upset medications like the proton pump inhibitors (omeprazole), steroids commonly used for AIHA (prednisone)

Taking a break from treatment?
Our last specialist called CLL treatment a game of Whackamole. Treatment needed at times and at other times could go without until the next round of symptoms present. I have written here a lot about husband's rounds of treatment and it is now apparent that he cannot take the 6 rounds of Gazyva and 12

Update O and V No More
Sadly I was right I'm posting this to the person who asked me what the final decision would be by our oncologist after husbands neutrophils crashed along with his white count and platelets. Venclexta was held and GSF shots given. Now decision is no more Obinutuzumab. he had 4 and if counts stable

Hubby positive for COVID. Will get Regeneron today.
I tested positive for COVID early this week (probably had it 3-4 days earlier). My husband has CLL, is just off Venclexta which he took for 3 years. Currently in remission. He has had 2 Pfizer vaccines AND the booster. So far he is in pretty good shape (oxygen levels are strong, not short of breath

Second vaccination following Venclexta
I am fully vaccinated and will conclude my two-year program on Venclexta in a few weeks. I have not had the antibody test, but suspect I have a limited number acquired, given my CLL history. What I’m wondering is if there is any evidence of increased efficacy when given a second round of the Covid

Venclexta: could it be why my platelets just crashed?
I've been on Venclexta 4.5 years and while my platelets are low (98-120) suddenly they are 34. I'm waiting for a lab re-do, but wondering if anyone else has ended up with a rapid drop (last labs 3+ months ago had platelets at 110. Anyone experienced this? And if so, did a holidy correct the problem and

CLL for 14 years: Venclexta for 4 years: I have COVID antibodies after vaccination !!
. I am14 years into my dance with CLL and currently four years on Venclexta. My 2nd jab was 2/23/21. My first LLS draw on 4/13/21 showed 55.12 unitls/mL antibodies. My second LLS draw on 6/11/21 showed 83 units/mL antibodies. I am thrilled: they are there and have increased, four months after my vaccination

Tophaceous Gout and CLL Drugs
I have had CLL for nine years and have been in nearly constant treatment except for about 30 months in the 2016-2018 time frame. In the past several month I have had problems with suspect masses growing in each of my feet between the toes, but not on the joints. After x-rays, MRIs and PET Scans,

CLL and high covid vaccine failure rates.

Venclexta Filled At Pharmacy?
I'm helping a person pick a Part D Rx plan, and one of her medications is Venclexta. I searched and it looks like Mutual of Omaha is one of a number of plans that would work equally well. A search on their web site for Rx shows that Venclexta is an approved Tier 5 Medication, and it appears as if it

Vaccine with Venclexta
I may have missed previous posts on the subject, but wondering what the consensus is on taking the Covid vaccine while on Venclexta. I’ll consult with my oncologist next week, but wondering if anyone out there has been advised yet. Thanks in advance!
