I have dodged a bullet here and I'm now doing well in recovery, my tubes-pipes and drips were removed todsy, they did a

Truth about Adeno?
I met with my pulmonologist yesterday as I approach my first CT following
VATS
4.30.18 to remove 2 stage 1A nodules (one upper lobe wedge/one lower lobe lobectomy). He said something that has been unsettling.

How long does nerve pain last?
I had my right upper lobe removed (
vats
) 5 months ago and finished chemo in 7 weeks ago. I'm beginning to think the nerve pain will never go away. Tried Gabapentin unsuccessfully and then Lyrica. After about 3 months of Lyrica, which really helped, I had to stop due to side effects.

VATS BIOPSY RESULTS FINALLY
VATS
was not as bad as I thought except for the very painful chest tube. I chose no pain killers as I didn't want to feel sick so I think I had more pain than most. But I am healing well and it's only the third week after.

CT / PET Scans
This may be a dumb question but it is one I cannot locate an answer to. How many scans in a year would be too many? If I do the CT scan scheduled for me in October that would be 5 CT's within the year. That and the fact I had many x-rays done this year due to pneumonia and VAT's surgery. Have been reading

VATS Lung Lobectomy for Congenital Malformation - advice please.
Therefore, the plan is to remove the lower lobe in my right lung (as this is the only part of my lung affected), via
VATS
(potentially switch to open surgery if there are any complications during surgery). I have surgery scheduled for 12th June 2018 at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.

I have SOB upon minor exertion, a cough, minor incision pain (
VATS
), fatigue, and minor indigestion. Is this normal as to recovery? My NP says it is but I want to hear from those experiencing recovery. Robin

Prayers Today for my Sister
She also saw an infectious diseases doctor who recommended all sorts of vaccines since they removed her spleen during
VATS
. We will check today with oncologist to ensure it’s necessary. Thank you all for listening - praying for the doctors’ success in healing my sister.

Nerve pain 4 weeks after VATS surgery
I am a bit over 4 weeks post
VATS
surgery to remove my upper right lobe. I am still experiencing a lot of nerve pain on my right side. It seems to be radiating from where the drain tube was but,l has since been removed before I came home from the hospital.

Nerve pain after VATS surgery
My question is how everyone that has had
VATS
lobectomy surgery have dealt with your nerve pain. I am 3 weeks healing from surgery and feel just like me except I seem to have waves of pain from the nerves being cut. Some times I am completely pain free and others, it seems unbearable.

Recently diagnosed
I will be getting a
VATS
resection biopsy in 2 days to try and diagnose those. I'm 58 and feel healthy, no symptoms at all. The lump in my leg was biopsied and is a lymphoma. According to my doctors, once this
VATS
is done, I will start some sort of treatment, most likely chemo

After lobectomy
I had a
vats
upper left lobectomy for nsclc stage 1A nodule 12 weeks ago. Clean lymph nodes. I have a strong family history of lung cancer so I was in an annual screening program. It was found with my 2nd annual scan. I was asymptomatic. 57 year old female. Otherwise, pretty healthy!

Just diagnosed
They are going to use
VATS
to biopsy nodule and look at nodes. If it is cancer, they will remove the left lobe. I am very comfortable with the Drs and what they have said makes sense.
