VATS PROCEDURE ADVICE PLEASE
Can anyone tell me if this is usual after a
VATs
procedure? If not, who can she go to for redress? She is stuck between the local hospital and the teaching hospital and the attitude of both is lax to say the least. Any help very gratefully received because I hate to see her like this.

Lower Left Lobectomy for Bronchiectatsis good new report!
They did a bronch first and then did a
VATS
lobectomy. There were 4 incisions (3 little ones and one 1.5 inch one). The bigger incision was to cut a piece of the muscle between my ribs to serve as a piece of tissue to close the stump of the bronchial tube.

Nerve pain after vats Lobectomy
Hi folks- yes I have nerve pain and I’m back to the gp today to get meds to help with the pain. I tried to stop the dihydrocideine but I’m afraid I couldn’t cope with the pain. Lung nurse and consultant talked about taking Amitriptyline for this pain. I’m fit to fly in 3 weeks for a holiday but want

Nerve pain after vats Lobectomy
Hi folks- although I got the all clear for the lung cancer I’ve had a swelling under right breast since1st week(now 4 weeks since surgery). Dr thought at first it was infection or shingles- it’s neither. Looks like nerve pain. It’s holding back my recovery. Anyone any experience of this and any suggestions

Trying to stay positive
The operation went from
VATS
to full thoracotomy due to some anatomy issues, so I have a large incision as well as the two spots where the tubes were. I think at this point I need a little encouragement... please tell me I'll feel better soon. Thank you everyone!

Swelling after vats upper right Lobectomy
Hi folks Alison again- just over a week ago I had the above procedure and came home last Friday. I followed all instructions given and even managed two short walks outside without breathlessness- however I now have swelling and heat below the breast , next to the incision site. It’s sure to touch and

It’s to be a

Side effects after VATS
Hello everyone, I'm new here and came across the community after googling "side effects after
vats
". My surgery was in 2015 and I'm very grateful that I didn't need any other treatment.

Undiagnosed since 10/2018
November 22 I had the
VATS
on my right side and it has happened six more times since then they still don’t know why, I might need another surgery if it keeps interrupting my life but no intervention is needed it just heals on it’s own. But I think it’s going to need to be done.

Cryptococcus
When oral meds didn't work, I did two months of amphotericin infusions and had
VATS
surgery to remove three of the eight nodules that were in my lung. I am wondering if anyone else has had this and what is your story with it? Thanks, Terri

Numbness continues
Hi, I had a
VATS
three months ago, all pain is gone after 8 weeks as expected. But I still have that feeling of numbness and burning in the side of my chest where surgery was done. Like it is not your body now .. Can anyone advise: is this common?

I'm the mend.
I had a
VATS
lung procedure to remove two lung segments containing non cancerous tumors plus the surgeon performed a bullectomy so I guess I got 3 for the price of two.
