I have completed 5 years on Tamoxifen and another five to do. I have recovered in many ways from the surgery and trauma but I still

Chemo?
I had a mastectomy last week and have another nerve wracking week to wait for results and treatment plan. I have felt healthy throughout and am very worried about the debilitating side effects if I need chemo or radiotherapy. What are the consequences of choosing not to have these therapies?

This time last year I found a lump at the age of 36. We had just moved house and area, and had 2 children age 2 and 6. Very soon I was told I had beat cancer. This was a huge shock. Mum had had it age 45 and now it had got me. I had 3 lymph nodes removed and it was in 1 and just starting to affect the

Dear friends, My mum (55 yrs) has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and has gone through mastectomy of left breast with 11 lymph nodes removed, out of which 10 are cancerous. 1 apical node extracted during the operation was clear. I wanted to know if any of the friends or well wishers here

Waiting..
Hi, I'm Sandy I've recently had a left sided mastectomy and reconstruction using the LD Flap on the 7th Jan, my lymph nodes were clear but they found 72mm of precancer and two tumours of invasive cancer. Apparently my cancer is abnormal in that there was so much prefer cancer, they don't know whether

Surgery question
Hi all, I saw a specialist today and was given all of the options open to me for my surgery (left breast Mastectomy). So I can have an expander put in at the same time as surgery which gets inflated slowly over time. They will take skin and muscle from my back... And they will reduce the size of my

I work from home and just entered a competition - tell us your dreams and you can win £5000 ... thought you may all appreciate this......
The only problem was that as daddy had had a
vasectomy
they would have to pay for this and the price for one go (only one go) was £5000 in total – mummy and daddy didn't have that money.
