Feeling cold despite overactive thyroid
I feel the cold all the time but GPs can't seem to find an issue. I'm currently in a heated home with three jumpers and two pairs of socks on, plus a blanket! GP did full blood tests, showing an overactive thyroid but all other tests within range (detailed below). I take 100mcg Levothyroxine a day and

Possible over treatment with Levothyroxine
Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. It was suggested that I make a post following a comment I made replying to another post as I may benefit from some guidance on my current treatment. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 9 years ago. I have been treated with Levothyroxine throughout. Since 2020

Started T3 Trial feeling rough advice again please
Hi I hope you all had a good Xmas. I started a trial of T3 on 9th December & have been following advice from several members here mostly slowdragon to start slowly. I felt a bit better than my usual exhaustion until Boxing day & have been totally wiped out since. I'm currently taking 5mcgs in the

I am thinking of ordering a private blood test to check my full thyroid status, as I am having symptoms but not sure it is thyroid related, or something else. Never going to A and E again, 5th visit.
I was feeling so ill yesterday i went to A and E again. I showed them my private blood test, oxygen levels and my neck. They said they had to do their own bloods and did TSH after i had just eaten and at 1pm. I said this would not be accurate but they did not agree. (2.95). They then said my saturation

interpreting results
Hi everyone, I’ve recently ordered a blood test to check my TSH, T4 and T3 levels. I’m also having my antibodies, ferritin, vit D, B12 and folate checked aswell. I’m fine interpreting the results of the vitamins and minerals, and I also understand that the higher the TSH the more underactive you are

Are meds causing symptoms?
Morning all,I'm experiencing some symptoms that are probably caused by my medication. So after a long journey not feeling well since pace and ablate, and recent blood tests showed my thyroid TSH levels were low and BNP levels 3x higher than normal and still have AF. Had a radioactive scan on thyroid

When will we reconcile with the fact that there is no cure now? Possibly never?
This is a vent. Sorry for this, but I am frustrated with the disease and the daily stress of living with it. People don't understand what we're going through and have limited patience with our strange condition. Family and friends who observe us at close quarters start to form their own opinions about

Hi everyone, I'm very new here and I'm still in a little bit of shock and trying to process everything at the minute. I am 7 months postpartum and have a beautiful 7 month old baby boy! He's wonderful, but the entire pregnancy was not! I suffered hyperemesis for 6 months with multiple hospital stays

Thyroxine dose
Hi Just wonder if I am on a correct dose of Thyroxine as I am taking 100mcg thyroxine tablet and 10mg of T3 each morning. But my recent blood result show T4 is 15.3 pmol/L and TSH LEVEL IS 0.22 mu/L. My GP said the level are high and should reduce the dose to 75mcg of thyroxine. I am not sure. Appreciate

T3 24 hours before Test
My last tests I took my T4 & T3 , 24 hours before test, by mistake. Madness! After the test I added an additional 6.25mcg T3. Only just realised as my insulin resistance has kicked in massively. Tests- Otherwise, fasting yes, no biotin. So I took both 24 hours before test; T4 131.25 mcg & T3 6.25
