Hello! I'm hoping somebody out there can help as I'm a mystery to the doctors at the minute. I suffer badly with hayfever in the summer and all year round rhinitus with ocassional sinus problems. Last July I was started on Clenil for "" seasonal asthma"" triggered by my hayfever based on symptoms, 2

Low SATS, what would you do?
Hello, It's been a while since I last posted but Leo (5 yr old son) has had a turbulent few months, with his last admission being in November. He saw his resp. Consultant again on 2nd Jan and we were given salbutamol nebules for a home nebuliser at last. I know this is a controversial move as it can

My beautiful mum♥
Hi haven't had much time recently to share my news about my mums improvement, as have been the hospital twice a day keeping her company. Anyway there is talk she may come home in a day or two:-) They started her on a antibiotic in her nebuliser called colmycin, hoping it will clear the bugs they keep

does anyone know where to buy the medication for a nebuliser (ventolin) as it is my GP's policy not to allow patients a home nebuliser. ?
I have had asthma for around 10 years and use seretide and ventolin accuhalers. I have now been started on Spiriva, but feel I would benefit from a nebuliser, but I cannot find the medication on line. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hi guys, hope everyone is getting through the winter ok and that you are all well!! OK ... here goes. Looking back, my asthma has been getting progressively worse for the last 4 winters. I didn't go to see my GP because if it though, because I wasn't the typical ""noisy lungs"" asthmatic, so just got

Hi, Does anybody use Hypertonic Saline nebuliser solution.
I have Bronchiectasis and asthma had have had little success with the breathing and huffing technique to help relieve the congestion in my lungs. My physio. and consultant decided to try me on Hypertonic Chloride solution in my nebuliser. The test went very well and for a short time I could take quite

Could you put liquids other than salbutomal in a nebuliser?
Probably sounds like a silly question, but if you had a nebuliser and no salbutomal or you were having a very mild attack, is there something you could substitute for medication to make yourself feel better? Thanks!

would like to donate these items
Sadly my father passed away recently and our family would like to donate his dual motor bed and dual motor reclining chair to a person in the north herts area. Both are in excellent condition and it would give us comfort to be of help. We also have other useful items that we would also be happy to donate

We can die free chickens or we can die trying, a lesson in great escapes from your humble viral meningitis survivor.....
At Christmas the BBC usually shows the Great Escape but this year for some reason they didn’t but that’s not to say there wasn’t an escape of great proportions going on anyway. As the survivor of a near fatal attack of viral meningitis I thought I was always careful to watch my limitations, take it

Hi all. Can anyone tell me if they have seen the nebuliser that is going on sale tomorrow in Lidl's. They advertise it as "Vibrating
diaphragm technology for high nebulisation and short inhalation time" It continues by saying there is an extensive range of accessories including mouthpiece, adults' mask child's mask and more. Batteries and storage pouch included, and, it is ideal for travelling. It comes in at £29.99. I'd welcome

That cough!
I've forgotten how I should use the forum properly, yet it is related to an entry I made in Sept 2012. The cough has come back, an utter nuisance. Ventolin would reduce it for a short time. My asthma nurse said my airways are clear and there's no infection, if it persists I should return after Christmas

Stat dose of uniphylline after IV
Howdie, hope everyone is well!! Just escaped costa - self discharged as felt ok and wasn't going to stay in for Christmas when I was over the worse and have nebs at home! Came off IV aminophylline yesterday and there was a bit of a cock up with my drugs, I kept saying - especially when I was reviewed

UPDATE on my daughter, Missy; a Christmas miracle, for sure.
First, thank you, everyone, for your prayers for Melissa. You touch my heart. She's home from the hospital now, but not quite out of the woods. So, please keep her in your prayers. Again, when they were extubating her while still in the surgery suite, she had an esophagus spasm that completely closed
