Breathing aids
Hi, this is my first post. My wife ( 56) has always suffered from Asthma, but recently her breathing has deteriorated and was recently admitted for a short while to a hospital. She was put on additional medication (theophilan) in addition to her current medication which is a mixture of inhalers and nebules

Brochitis
Living with Copd and then getting my third bout of Bronchitis since September, with each infection taking about 2 weeks, which isn't much fun with Christmas around the corner. In the summer I'm a lot better and can exercise, so probably down to the high humidity in South London / Kent during winter

How To Manage Travelling Without Using Nebuliser?
I received my free travel pass today 'cos I'll be officially ancient in a few days...but if I was to avail of it and perhaps go to Dublin for the day, how do I manage without using my nebuliser? The oxygen isn't a problem 'cos Himself would carry it for me and we'd take taxi's to the Museum and back

Is it really asthma?
Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with asthma following a bout of whooping cough as a baby. In and out of hospital a lot as a child. Grew out of it at the age of 11, but it came back following a bereavement when I was in my 30's. I'm 62 now, and on Symbicort (which gives me horrendous leg and foot cramps

hi tahira
I will stop using my nebuliser for the next two weeks ( to see what happens). I asked my doctor about using Vic vapour rub, she said I should not use it because of my server COPD, my lungs are only working at 18%. To be prescribed oxygen your blood gases must be low. I hope to hear from you soon. Stay

Hi again and a quick question
I posted just over a month ago about being diagnosed with COPD. At the time I was in a state but with everybody's advice and just reading different posts on here, I have realised that this condition will only beat you if you let it. The question, is there more than one that an exacerbation can occur

Son 16 months steroids
Hi this is the first time posting. Looking for advice for my son. He is on ventolin and clenil inhalers. He had what they thought was bronchilitus last winter and a few hospital admissions for nebuliser and oxygen. He continued wheezing/coughing and in April was referred to a paediatrician. Since

Kangaroo Steaks For Tea?
I needed to take my nebuliser back to get another one...was glad to get rid of it actually because it was horribly noisy...couldn't hear yourself think! So we went into Roscommon town to the stores, which is a tiny little office on a scruffy industrial estate...all pot-holes and empty properties...the

New and starting medication tonight
My health issues started about 4 years ago when I got whooping cough in 2010. Got it again almost one year later in 2011. Never recovered from the second episode. Diagnosed with lung disease within 6 month of the second case. Lung volume ranges from 59% to about 70%, seems to be worse when I am sick.

When to use nebuliser
I was wondering how often peoe use their nebuliser and how you decide it's the time to use it. I take 2 puffs of 250 Seretide twice a day with a spacer and ventolin as and when needed. But this time of year, with the usual chest infection, on antibiotics and steroids, just wondering if using the nebuliser
