Tiopronin

For the past 40 years though I have had the use of Tiopronin(thiola). This significant reduced my stone formation. sadly the drug company and the Aystralian Government have failed to reach an agreement so supply has been terminated in Australia.

Any one else on here who has ever taken or is still on Tiopronin had issues with it stretching your skin? I started taking it back in 2007 and came off it in 2014 due to it giving me some bad side affects (mainly mood swings and depression).

Has anyone been experiencing supply issues with tiopronin medication? I was recently told by Boots the medication I was receiving has been discontinued, so am unable to get any more. Does anyone have recommendations of pharmacies/chains I could try?

I have a problem to understand better the right dose of tiopronin. My son (8y) takes every day 2 capsules (250mg each capsule) of tiopronin..

Hi All I have sourced my Tiopronin from the Royal Free for many years but they are currently unable to find any supplies. Does anyone know of any source with current stocks? Best Wishes Neil

hello, my wife have cystinuria for over then 10 years. at the last 2 years we use tiopronin 250 mg and the kidney stones are still appears. we are very happy to join the community and hope to have big benefits from it.
