Thanks again for the recent Workshop in london. I have a problem to understand better the right dose of tiopronin. My son (8y) takes every day 2 capsules (250mg each capsule) of tiopronin..

The results of the analysis of 24 urine are:

U-Cistine total/creat 24H -> 240

U-tioproninaTotal/creat 24 H -> 390

What are the right range between the previous kpi? Is it correct the dose of tiopronin?

thanks a lot

We cannot give individual medical advice and often the proof that treatment is working is that stop making stones. In general terms, target urinary cystine levels <250 is often aimed for. Interpreting results will depend on previous levels and consistent hydration. It is therefore best to speak to your specialist about what these levels mean for your son.
