How do I accept the news of some vision loss?
7weeks ago I received a diagnosis of glaucoma in both eyes. Am in a state of utter shock & worry. A healthy 59yr old woman traumatised & very low (am usually chirpy). High pressures of 30 since 2018 & failed many field tests in right eye. My comments since 2019 to my optician of greyness in my right

Newly diagnosed.
I have very recently been diagnosed with Glaucoma, does anyone here use Eysano eye drops? Are they as good as Timolol eye drops? I am a contact lens wearer and hoping to carry on wearing them. Any info greatly received.

Long running prescription issues
I've had problems getting my drops for the last year, can get all my other meds with no problems, but recently it's getting really bad, I should get 10ml Dorzolomide& Timolol monthly, the last 2 scripts had given me 5ml, enough for 2 weeks, also it appears that GP surgery have over ruled the eye hospital

Usage of Timolol is suitable for night time?
Hi all, There are some advices that Timolol is not effective at night time for reducing IOP. And as it has a side effect to lower blood pressure, it seems using this before sleeping may bring some risk to optic nerve (as low blood pressure with high IOP at night can lead to low perfusion pressure,

Dorzolamide affecting athletic performance?
hello, I started using Dorzolamide drops, 2x daily starting in March in addition to Latanaprost (since probably 10 years now). Not long after, I noticed a marked drop in athletic performance on the bicycle (via training logs) From what I can tell this is not a usual side-effect, and my Dr. had said as

Update 18 weeks after 2nd ozurdex
Hi guys. Had my review today. Last review showed oedema completely gone but unfortunately it hasn't lasted and the oct shows oedema has returned. Consultant thinks my condition has become chronic. I'm getting another implant in about 5 weeks and staying on the timolol drops for the raised eye pressure

Update 5weeks after 2nd ozurdex implant
Hi guys, I've had great news. My oedema is completely gone! Best result in 2 1/2yrs. I know it's still early days but I'm allowing myself a week of euphoria!!! Next review in 3 months ( apparently there has to be a 5 mnth gap before next implant if I need it). It was good to to hear consultant say I

Update on 12 week post ozurdex implant.
Hi all, well yet again I'm bucking the odds. After a good result at wk 8 Oedema is now back, IOP is reduced though (after 2wks no timolol drops). Yes, it's expected to be the other way round! Surprisingly I was given the option to go back to inj or another implant. Wasn't expecting a choice and had to

Midweek update
I don't normally post midweek for those following my mtx updates. This is more about my Uveitis in general. I've been on Pred drops now for almost 6months. Minus a verification two week break in which my inflammation was great. I went in today for a two week checkup to see how my latest flare was doing

Allergy to eye drops
Hoping someone can help me please. I am my third prescription of eye drops which I have now been using for 4 days and am finding that the side effects are becoming unbearable. I have burning, itchy, watery eyes. This has happened with my previous eyes drops, Brimonidine and Timolol. Both of which

Beta blockers can make you short of breath.
Using beta blockers can make breathing worse . My eye dr told me to stop my timolol eye drops that I take for glaucoma , and see if my breathing improved . Lo, and behold, I'm not so short of breath since I stopped. Many people use beta blockers for high blood pressure, so I thought I'd share this. (
