Help with adding levo to T3 only
Hi, I've been on T3 only for many years (62.5 mcg). I've switched from levo to T3 only in the time because I had an elevated rT3 and still hypo symptoms despite elevated dose. Every endo I've seen in the last years said I should go back levo because my T3 levels are through the roof. They don't seem

Total thyroidectomy - anyone have a positive story ?
Hey everyone - I’m very nervous about having a total thyroidectomy in mid February. I have seen so many horror stories. Do any of you have an experience that didn’t turn sour ? Some have said they have levithyroxine issues … I’m not sure if this is the right decision but my heart rhythm is being seriously

Charged for importing 1 bottle of NDT
Has this happened to anyone else? I've been charged nearly £50 by Royal Mail for one bottle of Erfa 1 grain! I got the email from R.M this morning This has never happened before (I've only ever purchased Erfa once previously some years ago from the same place, and was not charged) I've not been charged

New and could use some advice
I'm new and not yet diagnosed. I have a call with the GP on Friday, but to be honest I've not had the best service from my GP unless I go in well informed. I'm mainly worried about a variation in TSH in a short time. I have a family history of hypothyroidism and currently take no medication what so

Hi All, I looking for advice again! After being ill over Christmas and convinced it was my medication, coming off everything bar my 100mg Levothyroxine, symptoms didn't improve. Curious…aside from high in range TSH are these frees pretty euthyroid? These were taken before starting thyroid medication. Negative for both antibodies. I’m coming around to the idea that I’ve been misdiagnosed as thyroid medication makes me feel worse. Off meds my TSH can vary from 8-4 within

Levothyroxine concerns.
So I’m about to start 50mcg of Levothyroxine as a trial. I have subclinical Hashimotos. My concern is if after taking the thyroxine for 8 weeks if my TSH comes into normal range but I’m still suffering with symptoms, my GP won’t increase the dose. I asked and they confirmed this. I don’t understand

hi, my husband has Graves and has been in remission since 2019. He checks his thyroid via Medichecks every few months. His thyroid results are good but in January his thyroglobulin antibodies crept up. He repeated it in March and the results were: Thyroglobulin antibodies- 116 (0-115) TSH 1.89 (0.27

I’m 60yoF, partial hysterectomy years ago. After hysterectomy was dx hashimotos. On levothyroxine 75mcg, continuously wt gain despite walking 7-10 miles daily. Eat healthy most often as an educated nutritionist. I convinced my MD to try Metformin to see if any help. MD would only order 500 once daily

low tsh but still hypothyroid
hi I keep getting bloods every 6-8 weeks from my doctor as my tsh level is constantly below 0.01…. I am on 75mcg of levo one night and then 100mcg of levo the next as told by my doctor. But I’m still having all the symptoms still of being underactive. When I was on 100-120mcg daily I felt so much better

Unraveling the molecular architecture of autoimmune thyroid diseases at spatial resolution
This appears to be an amazing paper - if you want to understand exactly what happens, where, in Graves' Disease and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Incredible number of images, lots of text - needs a slightly darkened room and lots of time! I've only just seen it so have nothing more to add at this stage.

TSH level
Hi, my daughter’s TSH is 3.7 and she’s on 125mg thyroxine. Although this is the “normal” range. I think it seems high and something isn’t right. Do you agree? Many thanks

Thyroid Lab Error
I've had thyroid disorder now for many years and it's been well managed. Now I'm pregnant and getting tested every month. I had a weird experience where my tested my TSH as 4.8 (0.4-4). That raised alarm bells so I went to a private clinic to get full blood work (FT3, FT4, vitamins and minerals etc.)
