Amlodipine 5mg splittable to 2.5mg IS AVAILABLE
New to this community. Hello to All. I have recently had my prescribed amlodipine 5mg prescription reduced to 2,5mg in consequence of much reduced blood pressure and asymptomatic sinus bradycardia. Total withdrawal had earlier led to rebound hypertension; from 110/65 to 160/90 Unfortunately the tablets

AMLODIPINE
After I had a stroke I was diagnosed with AF. I was put on a number of tablets including Ramipril and Amlodipine for high blood pressure. My ankles and feet are regularly very swollen, and I have read that Amlodipine often causes this. Does anyone know of a tablet that performs in the same way to lower

Had GP appointment today !!
My Gp decided to do an ECG on me today to compare to my last one, there were some subtle changes, don’t ask me what they are, it went straight over my head!! Cannot be to bad I’m at home not A&E!! He’s ringing the cardiologist to see if I can be seen sooner than August/September, and a blood test

High blood pressure
Hi I've had a pacemaker for 2 years but have recently been started on amlodipine for high blood pressure by my gp. A few days in and I'm feeling nauseous and have muscle aches. Just wondering if anyone else takes this and if they've had these symptoms. Thanks.

Got appointment with GP
I’ve taken all of your advice about swollen legs and amlodipine, spoke to my Dr’s surgery and my Gp wants to see me face to face. I hope he can change my meds or water meds, then I won’t have to cut my jeans at the bottom as they’ve become to tight !!!! Not sure the world is ready for me in my shorts

Chest pain
I hope you don’t think this is a really silly question but for my chest pain I use the GTN spray on top of all the meds, here comes the silly bit..... I know you need to go to hospital after a few sprays of GTN but I thought I saw a post on here that a hot water bottle can help with the pain, so would

Lercanidipine - anyone have any experience with it?
Have just been taken off amlodipine because of swelling of the ankles/lower leg, setting the area on the leg damaged by cellulitis off and swelling in two fingers. Doc has put me on Lercanidipine to lower my bp. Am also on Apixaban. It was on this forum that I read about these side effects with amlodipine

Amlodipine and being under 40... healthy to high BP in 1 month
Hi all, a month ago I had heart palpitations and was admitted to hospital with 200/170. Always been reasonably healthy but covid had made my sluggish although continued to eat well. I was put on 10mg straight away, same time I decided to cut out all caffeine, sugars and salts and lost 15kg in process

Irregular heart rate with Amlodipine
Dr. changed my medication from Losartan HCTZ because of too many negative side effects. Now taking 5mg Amlodipine for past several weeks. Since starting Amlodipine have been getting occasional readings of irregular heart rate when I take my blood pressure - I can feel them, as well as palpitations.

Chinese food ingredients
So the first time I was diagnosed of high blood pressure I had eating Chinese food I experienced pain in my chest. I ignored it first time and went and ate the same food about three times I'll experience chest pain. So I finally said it has to be something in the food. So my NP puts me on Amlodipine

Changing medication.
I have been on Amlodipine for 2 months and suffered with lots of side effects. The GP has now stopped it and prescribed Ramipril. How has anyone else got on with Ramipril?

Feeling trapped
After suffering chest pains that now appear to be completely un heart related I spent a couple of nights in hospital with 1 night in cardio care whilst they did tests ... they came back with a heart flutter that I've had for years (when I deep sleep on my back) and have decided to medicate me on this
