Taxotere and fingerprints.
After three rounds of
taxotere
to date my fingerprints aren't completely gone, but even with retraining my TouchID Mac and phone won't respond to them. To my eye they look smooth, but a close up photo reveals there's still a pattern.

I’m doing the triplet treatments with Lupron, Nubeqa, and
taxotere
(for chemo). My med oncologist has called it the STAMPEDE trial, although I’m not actually in a trial. I was diagnosed last August and recently finished chemo. I’m still on ADT.

I had three Jevtana infusions.
I feel really good, compared to the time when I finished
Taxotere
, Pelvic radiation and Xtandi, which was killing me and I had to stop. Is there any sign to tell that things are working?

Jevtana prescribed until Pluvicto available to him
He already had Zytiga, Xtandi, radiation, cryotherapy, Immunotherapy and
Taxotere
... running out of options but fortunately, he is still feeling pretty good considering all.

Diagnosed under 55
I’ll start, my husband was 48 at diagnosis, stage four and had two types of chemo (carbo/
taxotere
) and after completion did over 30 rounds to his prostate and left hip (two main tumors). They thought he had a recurrence so did six more radiation to his spine.

Thankful
My husband had his first chemo treatment of 275ml Docetaxel (
Taxotere
) on 1/11/24 at 2 pm. Thankfully he has had no bad side effects to it except for flatulence. He has not had to take any pain medication since mid day on 1/11/24.

neutropenic on first chemo
Hi - my husband had his first
taxotere
infusion on the 21st and was admitted to the hospital on the 28th with fever and neutropenia. He went WBC nadir in the hospital on the 29th. The infectious disease doctor was consulted and she thinks his stomach/gut bacteria is infecting him.

Delta Gold & Docetaxel
The new paper suggests that men on
Taxotere
(Docetaxel) might delay resistance by using delta tocotrienol. "... Several agents, including natural compounds, have been shown to induce necroptosis in human cancer cells.

my father is beginning
taxotere
today. I’m wondering if people could share their 18 week experience in depth (or as much as they’re comfortable) sharing. Anything and everything.

what’s typically after taxotere?
He just did his first round of
taxotere
last week and we’re gonna get him through the 6 rounds, god willing. What’s typically the next step after chemo? Does he then do immunotherapy? Also, if it is immunotherapy- which should I advocate for as being his first treatment?

One last battle
I only had fatigue (and hair loss) when I did
taxotere
. I wish you all happy holidays. Every day is precious.

What do these results mean
I was put on the triple therapy with Lupron, Zytiga and 6 rounds of
taxotere
. Today my PSA is 0.03 and I just received the following results from a scan I had end of Dec. I had an appt with my oncologist last Thursday but at the time these results were not available.

Docetaxel/Taxotere. 2nd time in 3 years. It's a no go this time. No benefit after 3 infusions.
A cancer work around making a good treatment plan not workable. Good news is although PSA kept rising during infusions scans show no new growth but no shrinkage either. Same old diffuse bone mets I have always had. Current PSA at 80. Brief history PSA 11/2019--1,621. Bone mets diffuse from skull

Low PSA, high metastasis, ready for chemo+
I was with another doc until last week who advised Eligard, plus Nubeqa and then
Taxotere
…the standard “triple therapy”but I didn’t feel he was throwing the proverbial kitchen sink at my disease which I think is warranted.

Update on my daddy- 8 years stage four
He started hormone therapy and chemo immediately (6 rounds of
taxotere
). He stayed on Lupron and Casodex for five years until it failed and he had 2/3 rounds of provenge (covid interfered 🙄) and started on Xtandi. He was on Xtandi for three years when his PSA started to rise.

Rising PSA on taxotere
Denny's been on
Taxotere
since July. After an initial rise to 100, he had a 13 point drop in his PSA to 87 in September. Yesterday's lab work shows a PSA of 92 which is where he was in July before he started chemo.
