Taxol

I had created my own cold cap in 1999 when I had AC and Taxol and had some success. I wanted to see what the real cold cap would be like. I’m also curious to learn how long anyone has been on Trodelvy. With advent season I’m trying to stay hopeful and keep up the fight.

I have heard of weekly taxol which sounds horrendous and I’m not sure I can cope with. Are there any others . ? I am feeling very down and thinking of refusing more treatment but am also frightened of what will happen .

my mom made blood test today,,, waitting ca 125 results, i am so nervous it is 2 month post last chemo for 2nd recurrance.. what will be if ca will be up… which chemo she will have as all 3 times she has carbo taxol… if there is no symptoms, doctor will watch and wait?

My mom's care team is playing with the idea of doing all 6 chemo cycles before debulking surgery. She's finishing her 4th cycle tomorrow. Has anyone else had all 6 up front? Her growth has significantly shrunk and would be operable, according to them. So wondering why this is the care teams's new approach

Has anyone experienced a fluctuating temperature on weekly taxol?

Instead of feeling relieved that I’m done with my carbo/taxol (last session is on Thursday) I’m now feeling low. Thanks for reading 🙂

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting, my lovely mum was diagnosed with stage 4a hgsoc in Feb this year, she had a failed surgery as the cancer was too widespread in her small bowel and unfortunately has had a poor response to her first line carbo/taxol.

Have any of you ladies had Taxol IV? If so, what were the side effects ? Do you recommend it? Pam 😊

I'm on 3 weekly taxol with 1 week off and this is my week off and I'm still feeling absolutely awful. Not helped by the fact I've got really bad catarrah and a cough. Last night i woke up with horrible nerve pains in my legs. The pain was awful to the point I didnt know what to do with myself.

the story, my mom has 2nd recurrance may-sept she get carbo+taxol 8 treatments ca 125 was down from 350 to 40, some lymph was "suriver"after that but doctor sent her for watch and wait. after 2 month her ca was up to 95, after 3 month from last chemo 230 and now 5 month after chemo it is 370. if i count

We are Looking at alternative treatments , one of which is weekly taxol. Has anyone any advice ? it does sound quite daunting to have chemo weekly .

I've just finished 3 weekly cycles of Taxol (hoping to get on the PROMPT trial next/soon), but I've had a constant dry throat and dry cough for about a month or more. Im seeing my oncologist tomorrow so I'll tell him, but wondered if anyone else had this?

I am 43 years old had debulking in 2020 than 6 chemo rounds of taxol carbo..than 1.5 years later.carbo doxil and avastin..buy this year after Ct showing all looks good in march than in end of april Ca 125 started to rise nonstop..Please share what you did in similar situation.Your advise is greatly apreciated

I'm currently on a course of 6 carbo taxol. I had my 2nd one 3 weeks ago. It hit me quite hard for the 1st week then I started to improve. A week later I had a slight temperature and tiredness and went to a&e to get it checked out.

I had my 4th cycle of Carbo/Taxol and I am now neutropenia and my 5th cycle has been delayed by a week. Can anybody give me any tips on how I could increase my WBC. It’s made me very anxious about getting an infection and mixing with family.

The oncologist is talking about starting me on weekly taxol, but I read that some women go on weekly carboplatin rather than taxol, and some on caelyx. Can anybody give any advice on which might be more effective please?

Whilst I was on 1st line chemo I was on Taxol and was told not to drive. I am starting 2nd line next week and will be having Caelyx. I have had conflicting information about driving myself to the appointment. ( I hate having to ask for help all the time).
