I'm on Taxol and Carbo. What's the average time? Evie

I just completed my 4th round of Taxol Carboplatin. I also receive Avastin and immunotherapy/placebo. This was more difficult side effects than before. I was more nauseated and the body aches were worse and lasted longer as well.

The trial involves Taxol by infusion and trial drug in tablet form. As the trial is randomised you don't know if the tablet is chalk or chemo, but judging by the side effects I have experienced, I would say the tablet is chemo.

Hi, this is my first time posting, I'm stage 111c high grade, ive had 3 rounds Carbo plus debulking op six weeks ago, due to dehisced wound I've not been able to start back on chemo but I should be able to restart in another two weeks, I'm having Taxol added in for next 3 rounds, reading the fact sheet

Hi to all, I had a mastectomy and axillary clearance Dec 2016 followed by 4 cycles of AC chemo and four cycles of Taxol chemo then 25 cycles of Radiotherapy. I worked through my treatment which I found helped me greatly. I put on 3 stone appox throughout treatment .

Well ladies I've just finished my 6th carbo/taxol with avastin added in.

Morning all, My diagnosis of PPC Stage 3c was treated with six rounds of carbo/taxol with sub optimal debulking in the middle. I’ve got two treatments of Avastin out of eighteen left to go, but my CA125 has gone up from 33 to 193 in the last few weeks.

Same regime as first line - carbo and taxol. Don’t feel too bad physically but feeling a bit low. I think reading the word ‘palliative ‘ on my consent form just got to me. Scared me. I know I can’t be cured but this word made me think horrible things.

She starts today another round of chemo a stronger kind since it didn't respond well with taxol along with a clinical study. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated thanks

She's now on maintenance weekly taxol and Avastin. All help very welcome thanks. Feel like there must be more we can do.

Strangely, my eyelashes have grown (they didn't fall out as I only had one dose of Taxol and one of Taxotere) and they are growing curly. They went short and stubby from old age.

I hope someone can give me some advice.I have had first line chemo (taxol and carboplatin) and I have had 11 of my 18 avastin infusions and am delighted that my Ca125 has dropped to 23 from over 11 000 at the start.

Anyone know if it's possible to build up a resistance to taxol?

Hi all, After 6 taxol/carbo september 16 to Jan 2017 then debulking feb 17 and 3 more taxol carbo, all clear in June. It's now back, in the omentum. We are all so disappointed it's back so quickly. So no it's caelyx with the option to wait a few weeks before starting as no symptoms..

Due to start this on Friday...despite several blood transfusions! Ca125 relatively low. Anyone any experiences they wish to share about pros and cons of this? Especially info about side effects...thanks Chris xx

However, post chemo(weekly taxol) my evening meal and a few hours watching tv I was violently sick again.

My onc wanted me to consider Carbo Taxol again and I said I wanted Carbo Doxil because I relapsed after in only 7 months after Frontline. He did agree, but said it will knock me out of a few clinical trials (having Doxil now). But said it was a good choice because Doxil is less harsh than Taxol.
