Tamoxifen

I have been in Tamoxifen 5 years plus and in theory have another 4/5 to do.

Hi Everyone, My treatment has been to remove the lump, have three weeks radiotherapy and, by choice give tamoxifen a go. I say by choice because I've been told it will only help me a little and the oncologists were split on whether I could just not bother.

After the surgery, I declined radiotherapy and the tamoxifen. I optedfor natural supplements. I thought I would live to regret that decision but luckily I didn't xxx

Hello all. just a quickie.. i have to have blood tests for anaemia and thyroid function b12 etc because of gradual increase in fatigue and other symptoms, tiredness, fuzzy head and blurry vision etc... i'm on tamoxifen almost a year now, and had chemo for 6 months before that..

I started taking Tamoxifen 20mg daily as of January 11,2017. Anybody noticed about their eyes? My eyebags are so big and so swollen. Dont know if this common when on Tamoxifen. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi ladies I have read that many of you have had various side effects from taking Tamoxifen. The mother of a dear friend of mine did not go into great detail other than ''the side effects were so bad that she decided to stop taking the meds and had a mastectomy instead!!!

But what about Tamoxifen ? Is it a case of one or the other? Or the one they feel best fits your cancer. I feel this may be a stupid question but wanted to ask thanks.

I forgot to take Tamoxifen today. I take it at 9am everyday. I'm 12 hours late. Question: Should I take it now and delay tomorrow's days by a few hours or let it be today and take tomorrow 's dose as usual?

I am now having 33 radiation treatments followed by Tamoxifen for 5+ years. I am praying I chose the right path. Anyone else have an Oncotype test come back as a 29?

My story is that I battled breast cancer 2 years ago and I have been taking the drug tamoxifen, one of its side effects been weight gain, can anybody tell me if they have had the same issue with this drug? I would like to lose two and a half stone but sometimes feel I am fighting a losing battle.

I must admit I found the thought of tamoxifen "keeping away my cancer" comforting emotionally. Anyone got any thoughts please?

I have more surgery and radio to come and then 10 years of tamoxifen. The doctors are adopting what they call a 'belt and braces' approach. However, the reason I'm posting here is not to do with the treatment, but with the cause.

Which cough syrup can be used with tamoxifen because of interactions of certain cough medications with inhibition of cyp2d6 pathway? Kindly help..thanks

You are all wonderful and without your kindness and generosity I think I would have gone loopy - although by the sound of it the tamoxifen might do that anyway!! Here's hoping we all have a healthy 2017. Much love, Jackie x

I have an under active thyroid and am on tamoxifen so am really struggling any tips welcome

Happy new year everyone 💕I was on tamoxifen for 5 years and I have been on letrazole since April 2016 and just wanted to know if anyone wakes up and has trouble moving X everything aches and during the night I have pain in my legs and hips that wakes me up X if this is not normal I will check it out

My question is, if I'm having my ovaries, tubes and uterus removed, why wouldn't I just stay on tamoxifen rather than switching to Letrazole for the 10 years? I know that there are some potential serious side effects with letrazole and I haven't had any with tamoxifen.

Double mastectomy and Tamoxifen. Spread to axillary lymph nodes in late 2009. Chemo and radiation. Mets to spine and liver in 2013. Back on chemo, switch to anastazole. Mets to brain in June 2016. Now on Kadcyla and Exemestane.
