A regular question is whether we should test Free T4 and/or T3, or Total T4 and/or T3.

Is there any reason why I cannot take Levothyroxine at the same time as esomesprazole and Bisoprolol? I KNOW Levo should be taken an hour before anything else but just want to know if anything in these other meds would prevent thyroxine uptake. Thank you.

My T4 was slightly over range on last blood test in July but I changed the timing and have been taking it when I wake for the loo about midnight. This last week I have been feeling anxious and nauseous. Can feel my heart and have had headaches. Couldn’t sleep last night.

My thyroid TSH and T4 are within normal ranges, but this antibody test result is 68.7 (normal range is 0-9). Is this high or very high, please, and has anyone with similar readings gone on to discover that they have hyperparathyroid disease plus Hashimotos?

Hi all, Back again! As always, grateful for thoughts. I've been on Carbimazole 10mg BD and Propanalol 40mg TDS for about 10 days now. My heart rate before treatment was sitting around 130/140 with a peak of 167. Has been sitting 55-75 since starting Propanalol. Bloods before treatment for free T4

Had my annual NHS test yesterday- No T3/T4. TSH only checked: 0.87 (0.38 - 5.33) MMH test from last week: TSH: 0.83 (0.27-4.2) t4:17 (12-22) t3: 3.7(3.1-6.8) **Both tests were done as per forum protocol.

Hi everyone, I’m adjusting my thyroxine dose so how long does it take to feel the benefit of a change? Or how long do I wait before adjusting dose again if needed? Thanks

This is my latest test result. My T3 is the same but my T4 is higher. He now wants to reduce my thyroxine. I’m on 125mg and weigh 76kg I’m taking a 6000mg spray of vitamin D with K daily and am mainly gluten free. All my other vitamin levels are ok not optimum but mid range.

I've been having T4 treatment for Hypothyroidism on NHS for a while, and I'm still feeling terrible. I have private health insurance coverage though, and I haven't used it. Also have low testosterone which I've been successfully treated for. Could someone PM me the best Endo on the private list?

Forgot to mention: I am 63 years old and take 125µg of thyroid hormone (T4 only).

My blood test results in March were T4 - 17.5pmoul / range 9-25 TSH 7.9miu/l / range 0.3-5 My doctor increased my dose to 175mcg New results T4 26.3pmoul / range 11.5-22.7 TSH <0.05 Can anyone help me interpret these results please?

Help,panic mode ! Went to pharmacy and no Mercury pharma thyroxine,say I will have too just take another brand cannot tolerate teva.My gp always request Mercury pharma for me and have had it for years.Have they gone out of bisnuss as cannot get there web page up to contact them.
