Struggling introducing T3
Hi all, I knew I’d be back before too long as I’m totally useless when it comes to introducing T3! Bit annoying as I obviously need it. Here are my results when I was on 87.5mcg Levo daily with no T3. TSH 0.007 (0.27-4.2) Free T3 4.1 (3.1-6.8) Free thyroxine 23.1 (12-22) Over the last couple

A little help to manage some symptoms
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in May 2020. It’s not been a happy ride. I’m on Accord levothyroxine 75/100 mcgs, (although Endo would like to see this reduced to 75 daily because of low TSH result.) TSH 0.18mU/L (0.34-5.6) FT4 11.1pmol/L (7.7-15.1) FT3 5.2pmol/L (4.3-6.8 ) HbA1c 32mmol

I GAVE UP.
I will try and be short about my story. It is a snapshot of events whilst I was on Levothyroxine for more or less 25 yrs. I never felt well and was never referred to an endocrinologist. I gained weight, my hair thinned. I had problems not only with my voice, but swallowing food. I had brain fog, acute

GP reducing levo
GP wants to reduce levo, because my tsh was 0.008.I've increased my levo to 125 daily and still taking t3 5mcg in 3 doses. GP thinks I'm still on 75mcg.....I've sorted myself out using this forum and private blood tests and feel much better for it. My issue is, how do I explain this to my GP and would

Help with test results including vitamins
I have just had test results from Blue Horizon including vitamins. I take 75 Levothyroxine and 10 t3 self sourced. Levo reduced by doctor due to suppressed TSH I persuaded her not to reduce again which she wanted to do by taking in last blood results with t4 and t3. I always felt well on 100 Levo and

Has anyone felt worse when first adding T3?
Hello All, I've recently added 5mcg T3. 6 weeks later I felt awful (exhausted, brain fog) and blood test confirmed my T4 had lowered so I increased my levo from 137.5 to 150 and kept the T3 at 5mcg. At the same time, I increased my estrogen, which I now know was a mistake to do at same time because

T3-4-Hypo trial - Netherlands
Do view the original which includes a map and various links. 16 to 20 months is so much more sensible than the few weeks so many previous studies have been based on. [i]

Medicheck bloods - some advice please?
Hello everyone, took the suggestion of this wonderful group and got some private bloods done before my next gp review . The online gp stated that my thyroxine dose of 50 mcg were working well for me and vits were excellent. That’s doesn’t really match how I feel day to day although much better than before

thyroid s source
Hi, I’ve been seeing a functional medicine Dr and she has suggested I try Thyroid S, she also suggested I ask on here if anyone could dm me a reliable source. I’m in the U.K. I see her regularly and have regular labs, I’ve been working with her since 2018 and we’ve tried various doses of Levothyroxine

Postpartum thyroiditis?
Hi everyone, Just a bit of a random one. So I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in Dec 2023 (7 months postpartum). It was a bit of a shock tbh. I since found out about Postpartum thyroiditis and wondered if my diagnosis was related to that and would somehow sort itself out in a year - 18 months? I'm

Confused and seeking wisdom !
I have been living with hypo type symptoms for decades but have been very unwell for the last 10 years. I have long suspected thyroid issues being a part of it. I had a diagnosis of M.E. in 2021 but likely would have had one earlier if I had gone to GP's. I am mostly home bound often bed/sofa bound.

Could very hot weather or recent surgery/general anaesthetic affect a fingerprick home blood test?
I sent a T4/
T3
/TSH fingerprick
test
back to Medichecks. It was the very hot week in early September... 29C degrees here in Norfolk. Medichecks received it the next day. Test done per our recommended conditions.

Sore, swollen lips; lethargy and weakness
Hello all.... over the last year or so I have had worsening health. I have been managing ok for a good few years my hypothyrodism / hashimoto's / menopause via Thyroid-S x 2 grains / strictly gluten free for over 5 years / Oestrogel x4 pumps/day. Had reasonable energy levels, body composition, mood

Results after 14 weeks on Armour
Hello, so I've been on Armour for 14 weeks now and these are my current bloods: TSH - 0.007 T4 - 13.7 (12-22) T3 - 6.3 (3.3 - 6.8) My doctor (private specialist) said ideal bloods on Armour would be T4 12-14 and T3 5.5-6.5, and TSH would be suppressed. So going by that, it seems my bloods are pretty

Surprised about bloods this morning
My GP has run thyroid tests along with ones for cardio this morning. I wish the ranges were the same, hard to wrap my brain around change! Tsh is 1.56 (0.32 - 4.94) T4 is 17.4 (9 - 19) 84% In April T4 was 78% before changing levo from 50-75. I am very relieved the T4 change was minimal as I

T4 to T3 conversion
Does T4 to T3 conversion lessen with age? I'm just trying to figure out why I feel 20 years older than my real age. No changes to any meds and supplements and TSH and T4 levels are on a par with where they've been for several years. Ferritin is low but I suspect it's been that way for a long time. I
