my question is that I've noticed my triglycerides level says Above average..I'm a bit surprised by that one bearing in mind I've been on 40mg
statins
since last May. And before I started taking
statins
I had got them down already by diet.. Is there something to worry about here?

So confused
very mild build up in 2 small arteries the only reason they gave me the scan was because I pushed for it, Drs kept telling me my chest pain which i get every day, was anxiety, even after the diagnosis they said the amount of build up didn't warrant how much pain I was getting, I was given aspirin,

New Test Results (feedback please) and Mixed Endo Results (US)
Endo did test fT3 and tends to treat to symptoms, didn't try to put me on
statins
for slightly elevated cholesterol (first time that has popped up, they indicated it should come back into range with proper thyroid).

Diet tips
I’ve been been informed that it must be hereditary & put on
statins
. I would like to include ‘beneficial’ foods into my diet but feel like I’m in a mine field & not quite sure where to start. Any advice would be appreciated thanks .

Statins and muscle pain or weakness.
If this is true and my time on
statins
..has supported this..my question is...Isnt the heart a muscle? Wouldn't
statins
cause problems with the heart muscle as well ? If it affects the muscles in other areas of your body?

Latest Update
My Cholesterol is low at 3 but they have doubled my
statins
hopefully that will help. I am going to start rehab soon as I’m sure that will help after 2 ½ years of not being able to do much exercise at all.

Advice on blood test results for husband please
His GP is pleased that his efforts are making a positive effect and agreed to review in 6 months and no
statins
yet. We wonder if there is anything in his results we should get checked out?

CoQ10 and RA
Only generally prescribed for those on
Statins
(ugh). Can't quite fathom how beneficial though. What I like about CoQ10 is that it is a natural substance that is just produced less by the body as we age. So likely to have only benefits.

I know absolutely nothing about
statins
but there seems to be some controversy regarding their use. Thank you in anticipation of the fantastic help which I've been fortunate to receive before on this forum.

Dietary interventions for heart disease
Pay close attention to the discussion of
statins
. As he describes, these powerful drugs are approved only for the treatment of "hypercholesterolemia" - a made-up disease with no apparent real-world consequences.

My blood pressure is normal and I am slightly underweight (I was a fairly ‘normal’ weight pre op) The pharmacist who gave me the results has advised that I should take
statins
to reduce my Q risk although she said my numbers are not extreme.

I have heard that
Statins
can cause muscle discomfort? I have started Cardiac re-hab and it is great, very re-assuring and helpful. I am new to this group and welcome your thoughts. Stay Healthy and Well everyone!
