I have afib that I take Sotalol 40mg for I has an ablation 10 years ago but it seems to have worn off been on the sotalol for 3 weeks but they don't seem to be doing the job. My question is should I go A&E for prolonged AFIB my HR is anywhere between 40BPM to 177BPM, I gave a follow up appointment on 25th of this month didn't know if I should wait or go to walk in centre.

I would see a health professional ASAP.

I would think a visit to the A&E would be wise to see if they feel an anticoagulant is necessary

I'm on 320mg sotatol. Call your hospital and talk to them perhaps you need a different dose but I would wait rather than go to a walk inGood luck

Go to A&E. 25 March is too long to wait, or ring your GP.
