Transferrin?
Hello! I've been reading and learning so much here - so much knowledge and kindness... I've just got some blood tests back after 1 month on Levo and my TSH is down, T4 up and cholesterol down - yay! There are still some tests to come in, but I just noticed that my transferrin level is below range

NHS Health Check Drives
Had hypothyroidism for 20 years and pre-diabetes for about 12 years which I've managed to keep under control, touch wood. Now my GP surgery has insisted I attend a 60 Day Care Plan or some rubbish probably driven by Government bonuses as they've never batted an eyelid about test results until now and

High TSH for IVF
Hello everyone, I always had TSH around 2.5, but after taking Gonal F, Ovitrelle and Utrogestan something must of have triggered the levels, in a month it went from 2.5 to 6, the 10. I was put on ltyroxyne 50mg. We had IUIs which were not successful, maybe it was not worth doing with high TSH? Doctor

Help interpreting results please
Having been on a combination T3 plus levo trial for a year, these are my latest results. I am on the trial because my last results indicated I am a poor converter. I was knocked back from taking 100mcg levo to 75mcg by a doctor who doesn't know me when my TSH lowered because I was newly on T3. Of which

Does anyone know why, in people using NDT, the TSH readings tend to be very low, even when the T4 and T3 are within normal ranges? My GP is concerned that my low TSH readings mean I am at risk of osteoporosis, but since I am not hyperthyroid I don't understand why. My T4 and T3 are within reference

improved blood work, am I a good converter or do I need support?
I’m still not out of the woods yet, but I’m happy to see some improvement. Here’s my latest results. The not so good news is d-dimer is still elevated but has come down, cholesterol is the same, but hasn’t got worse, my sex binding globe is still high, I’ve overdosed on vitamin D, and TPO has gone

A little advice on latest test results
Hello all, you have all been incredibly kind and helpful in the past.. and I wondered if I could pick your brains again about my latest test results.. I have been following Ray Peat’s ‘non diet’ diet, and I’m wondering if actually it’s not working for me. To me I can see that my estrogen is at the lower

Help with not tolerating T3 Liothyronine
Hi again, This might sound like a stupid question but does Levothyroxine increase T3 or does it just increase T4 (and of course lowers TSH)? The reason I ask is that I have now been taking Liothyronine 5mcg once a day for over two weeks and I feel worse than just on Levothyroxine. If I increase to

Sadly I am still not optimal yet.
In May this year after 9 months of titrating up from 25-125mcg, I thought that I was finally there. TSH was 0.808 (0.27-4.20) and FT4 was 21.5 (11-22) and agreed to test after 3 months to see if I had stabilised. Sadly just checked the NHS app as bloods were done Friday and can see that my TSH is now

I’ve been suffering with an itchy rash on neck and scalp since June. Had prescription steroid creams, lotions, anti histamine tablets

Graves Blood Test food or not to food ...
So I was always under the assumption that I shouldn't eat prior to a blood test - I'm never hungry anyway so no bother - however, lovely vampire said "have you eaten anything? don't want you passing out on me!" I said "no - I generally don't bother before blood tests nor am I hungry!" she then told me

Advice on latest thyroid test
I am seeing GP tomorrow regarding latest blood tests. Currently take 125mg levothyroxine. TSH 0.32 (-65%) 0.35-4.94 T4 15.3 (62.38%) 9-19.1 T3 4.3 (52.78%) 2.4-6.0 TSH was flagged as Abnormal so GP will mention that - it was 1.08 in Feb and 1.25 last October (same ranges) but no T4 or T3 tested.
