,sinemet only works for two hrs.I still haven't got my Rytary coverage problem solved but I have applied for the patient medication assistance program.

Apokyn is used to help prevent Parkinson's symptoms during Off periods when the Sinemet has worn off. p

Also, a few years after diagnosis, toe-curling started on the right foot also, so Sinemet controls both feet now...however, when I eat...an hour or 2 after eating, the toe-curling SOMETIMES starts up again, until the Sinemet kicks in.

What meds do you take for CBD..my mum takes sinemet 4 times a day ..betmega in the morning and stilnocht sleeping tablet at night...mirap at night and lexepro for anxiety...her right hand has totally closed into a fist..cannot open it without her roaring in pain..someone mentioned botox??..

Hi Friends, my MDS is about to switch me to expensive Rytary.I keep wondering why Rytary instead of a cheaper Sinemet CR.If you had an experience with this two drugs as a patient or a caregiver,please your input will be appreciated.I am currently having off periods due to generic Sinemet,not working

For the treatment of motor fluctuations soluble levodopa has been proposed: e.g. 10 tablets of Sinemet-Plus in 1 litre of water with 1 gram of vitamin C, take 100 ml every 90 minutes (Kulisevsky 2013). Always with the guidance of a neurologist.

Ever sense I started taking My PD meds (sinemet, buspar , remeron ), it seems to have worsened. I can’t even sit in my chair at home and watch a TV show that shows heights in it or I feel like I’m falling. The feeling is most times accompanied by pressure in my head.

I get severe abdominal wall muscle tightness when the next dose of Sinemet is due. It seems to improve about a half hour after taking the pill. I'm assuming that's from too little dopamine in my system and most people would call this "dystonia."

Mom has a G tube so it limits sometimes what we can give her in terms of fibre , even though she is getting completely organic food with no preservatives etc . All clean ingredients. I might start massaging her tummy with some essential oils , dont want to give her too many laxatives. Any suggestions

The edema in my feet is annoying but not painful and I'm guessing it's due to Sinemet. I didn't have edema before starting Sinemet. So, How often is pain associated with PD?

Does plant-based protein we'll also interfere with sinemet?

I quit using Sinemet a month ago. I didn't feel any effects from the drugs; Dominant hand tremor was unchanged, Handwriting was dismal unless doing a crossword puzzle. Something about the individual squares made it easier to be somewhat legible. Thanks, kpo

Hi Friends, Please help with your experience in spacing sinemet doses closer due to sinemet on period now decreasing,pending when I switch to Rytary as per my MDS.My previous schedule was 2 tab 25/100mg, at 8:00am,12;noon,4:00pm, and 8;00pm and one at bed time to sleep as approved by MDS.

In the the beginning of my journey Sinemet helped with my leg dystonia. My entire leg is stiff and stiffness started in my right arm. I was going to buy magnesium spray on Amazon, but I do not know what the best kind to get. Does MM help? Thank you! Thank you very much!! Luba

How much MP powder will equal one Sinemet?

I tried Sinemet for a year before deciding it wasn't doing anything. Recently I have balance problems. Would Sinemet help or not? My understanding was that Sinemet helped motor problems like akinesia but not non-motor problems like balance. Any ideas?

I've been on Sinemet a few weeks. My shoes seem tight enough I need to loosen the laces. But then there's not enough available to tie them.

Hi Friends, Kind contribute in this discussion,if you have had my type of experience.I have been on sinemet for almost 4years now.Recently,I noticed that sometimes my kick in waiting period lasts for 30mins or 45mins or an hour.In the mornings,it usually about 30mins.

Anyone have any speech problems when they are “on” after taking sinemet?
