She has had other drugs but they mainly had adverse effects, so we just cut them out and she has a better quality of life. Lots of drugs affect the brain, it has enough to do fighting CBD.
Wow your journey sounds identical to ours - My Mom was diagnosed in fall of 2017 —- she does not speak, just a whisper - no longer walks, her dominant right hand is curling more and more, along with her right foot. Mom has to really focus on urinating - has false alarms through the night. For the pain and overall meds, Mom is on Mirapax, Gabipentin, and we finally found a dosage of Baclofen that is working. Mom is sleeping more in the afternoon —- her swallowing is the daily challenge now, and we have adjusted her food to more softer diet and it has made the difference.
If you're considering Botox for her hand, you should know that it will be for aesthetic purposes only - she will not be able to use her hand. Running warm to hot water over the hand and massaging the fingers at the same time works for me. If you're successful, give her a ball (I use a tennis ball) to hold, when the hand begins to clench again it may be easier and less painful to open.

Mum isn't on any medication. She recently had botox on her arm and thumb. It's made no difference to the arm and only a very slight loosening of the thumb. Her hand is very clenched. A physiotherapist did get her to open it by lying her down and getting her to do relaxing deep breaths - but that was a few months back now and I don't know if that still works. She normally holds a flannel in her hand to stop it getting to clenched and injuring her skin.
Does the betmiga work? Mum is having major issues with very very frequent night-time urination and urgency. Mum usually falls asleep pretty quickly after waking to pee but I was wondering whether some sort of sleeping tablet might help to avoid the waking to pee and then she would just wet the pad without disturbing her sleep. Or are you using the sleeping tablets because your mum is struggling to get to sleep?
Mum is given 1 and half stilnocht...and mirap..to keep her asleep during the night its the only tablet that doesnt make you groggy in the morning or give you the hungover affect...occassionally she might wake once during the night but thats nothing compared to every hour during the night..she hates to drink anything in the evening time because she knows shell will have to go..betmega..i dont know if it works all i can say is shes not going constantly...she has had 2 utis during lockdown...
