Are there common side-effects to Rytary withdrawal?
Before that I had been on
Sinemet
for 4 years. I quit taking Rytary about a month ago. My only side effect seems to be insomnia. Maybe insomnia is the wrong word. Eventually I get tired and can sleep for a few hours. But I doubt it adds up to 8 hours over 24 hours.

Sinemet not working.
I was diagnosed in 2021 and have been taking this and doing well. I'm up to 1 1/2 tabs(25-100) 5 x a day. In the last few weeks, I get b anxious, lightheaded and weak about 15 minutes after taking my meds. It completely shuts me down . I'm waiting on my neurologist for directions. One was to switch

Emotional toll
I only recently started taking
sinemet
(I was trying to go about this without medication and use only supplements and regular exercise). The
sinemet
has helped with my overall energy, bradykinesia, stiffness among other symptoms.

IPX203 shows sustained safety, efficacy in RISE-PD extension trial
The aim is to enable the medication to stay at clinically relevant doses in the bloodstream longer, extending motor symptom control relative to standard, immediate-release CD/LD therapies such as
Sinemet
.

Grief or PD?
I have increased my
Sinemet
to 2 pills x 4 or 5 times per day. I am still very mobile. I run 3 miles and bike 15 miles. The biggest complaint is fatigue. It usually happens in the afternoon and I have to crawl into bed.

Auditory hallucinations
She is also taking
Sinemet
25/100mg every 4 hours, with the controlled release version taken before bed. We will discuss the above with her neurologist at her next appointment, but in the meantime any ideas that may help her to cope will be most appreciated. Thank you

Frightening Experience
I had started the day off with a later than usual dose of
Sinemet
(25/250) and had given enough time - about an hour for the most recent dose to kick in. Yet, after reaching home I couldn't get out of the car. I had just totally lost my will power!I was also intensely panicked and scared.

Sinemet vs. Rytary
How does
Sinemet
perform vs. Rotary. Which do you prefer and why. My neurologist recommended the latter, but I'm not so sure that's the best choice. Would love your opinions.

Does anyone know what the HIGH DOSE in high dose thiamine means?
I have been following the medications course, not the vitamin/naturaremedy one for five years Suddenly, for no real reason I wondered if HDT might do even better than
Sinemet
for my slightly-worsening forward/backward balance problems.

UPDATE: Dad's Surgery on Broken Ankle Bone and Resulting PSYCHOSIS. QUESTION: How do you deal with Episodes of Hallucinations & Delusions?
We are monitoring closely his dosing of BOTH
SINEMET
& ZANDOPA, and have found a better strategy so far for keeping BOTH PHYSICAL MOTOR SYMPTOMS & MENTAL SYMPTOMS as good as possible without making one too much worse.

Checking in
The doctor told us that for people his age the only 2 medications recommended are
Sinemet
(which my dad could never tolerate because of the chest pain) and Rytary. He told my dad to stop taking Gocovri and increase Rytary in hopes of controlling tremors a little better.

any CARNIVORE DIETers out there?
I even forgot to take my afternoon dose of
Sinemet
until an hour after I usually take it and completely forgot to take my evening dose, because there were no symptoms when they usually remind me to take it, Still a little bradykinesia at this point. No brain fog.

Wondering if dad has RLS instead of PD (or both?). Any RLS indicators here?
Now another 2 months later on just
Sinemet
, still same. When Mirapex is in the picture, even at 1-2x/day - pain decreases, swelling decreases, better movements. So in hindsight, Mirapex is actually what's working for dad instead.

Just diagnosed
His follow up letter to G.P. suggests taking
Sinemet
62.5mg three times a day for 2 weeks and then 125mg three times a day. I am only just starting to research the treatments available and I definitely want to see another neurologist just to talk about medication etc.

What's in ER C/L vs. IR C/L?
It reminds me when I was prescribed Comtan early on in combo with
sinemet
that caused similar symptoms. Is there something in the ER that's not in the IR? thanks
