I just want to say thank you to all you incredible people on here.

This is very new and scary for me being diagnosed overnight with severe asthma. I’m learning so much by reading all the info here. The kindness shown from the community is keeping me going as my life is turned upside down 🙏🏽

It is scary when you first get a diagnosis, but after a while, you will adjust and learn how to manage your condition. If you're feeling a bit shell-shocked by it all, I highly recommend calling the helpline if you haven't already done so - they are absolutely brilliant at talking you through everything step by step and no question is too 'daft' to ask! I felt much as you did when I was first diagnosed three years ago, but I felt so much better after speaking to them - the number is 0300 2225800 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

keep up with all your reading , learn to know when you feel you need to be seen or need more medication. Stay as calm as you can , look after yourself.
