Getting an asthma plan
However, I am now on
Seretide
500 which I have been told cannot be doubled. The nurse said I was controlled as I am responding to medication even though I have had to take Bricanyl 8 times since this morning (including once when I needed three doses).

Flare-up's once the pollen comes out!
I'm currently on
seretide
, but I'm just sick of having constant asthma attacks. My GCSE exam period has just started and yet I've had to take a lot of time off school recently and in the past year.

Treatment for Night Time Symptoms
The first nurse thought it was the inhaler dosage and so added more steriod (this was somewhat expected as I had gone from
Seretide
500 to Symbicort 200/6.

Seretide 250 v Symbicort 400 12
I have severe copd and my gp has recently changed my inhaler from
Seretide
250 (2 puffs twice daily) to Symbicort 400 12 (1 puff twice daily). The
Seretide
did not seem to be helping my breathing. I would like to hear from anyone who is on Symbicort and how they are getting on with it. Viv

Fat boy
My argument to my wife was that it was the
Seretide
, the Ventolin and the Spiriva that had fattened me up. When she disputed this I said I would get proof from the others on the BLF site. You have all put on weight haven’t you?

Feeling kind of frustrated
I'm on so much steroids (2000/day
seretide
+ 30mg pred) and this is still happening. You'd think with all those steroids I'd be able to avoid exacerbations. I realize it is hay fever season. But I'm also on drugs that are supposed to stop allergic reactions.

SLOPPY
Started off with the Ventolin, waited 15 minutes, then the
Seretide
500. 15 minutes later the Spiriva. All taken exactly as per the instructions. I feel really great. Breathing is very much easier. It's worth a try gang Bob.

111 - argh!
Hiya, Finished pred/amoxicillin combo on thurs, started
seretide
on mon. Today feel really tight chested, coughing loads and feel breathless. Using my blue a fair bit. Rang our MIU, who told me to ring 111 as they couldn't prescribe, as I'd already had treatment?

Very worried
I have been put on
Seretide
250, two puffs twice a day, which so far has had no effect. I have smoked for years and am trying very hard to give this up as well. It is not very easy but I am determined to beat this foul habit.

Blue lips, tiredness, supressed breathing. But no wheezing?
It was poorly controlled, so I was prescribed
seretide
twice a day, at 2x250 doses. I don't like the side effects (shakes, difficulty concentrating, palpatations etc) and they still occur after 4 months of settling in...

Symbicort and Salbutamol Nebuliser - HELP!
Up till a month ago I was on
seretide
, vetolin and singulair, with regular courses of prednisolone and antibiotics in the winter. At the advice of my GP over Christmas (though my consultant was not pleased) I now have a nebuliser.

Finished pred, still not feeling well
I'm currently on
Seretide
250 2 puffs twice a day and fexofenadine, tried Montelukast but it didn't help, Not sure whether this is an illness causing the exacerbation, allergies or just asthma being annoying.

Confused about different strengths of Asthma Medications?!!
I was admitted again last thursday and kept in over night due to PFV etc, given 50mg Prednisolone and 1500mg Amoxycillin daily (both for 8 days), and advised to have a follow up GP appointment to discuss being put on
seretide
- a combination drug, which I have done.
